Mr. Lipson, meanwhile, had resumed meeting with tailgaters. Two hours later, he was finally back in his mobile home. "By the middle of the next decade," he promised, "we will be undefeated. And I will be here to see it."

I worked with Robert in the late 70's and at the time he still carried all his ticket stubs in the old army coat he wore...People hear me when I say He predicted this way back then

Wasn't he referred to as Kenny K-State back in the 70's?

One time I asked Weird Robert in the middle of the Wooly years who was going to win a K-State/KU basketball game and he declared that after a four hour dog fight, the referee would halve the ball, weigh each half and declare a tie.

Even Weird Robert was not prepared to prognosticate a Wooly-era Wildcat home win.

I've decided to go the weird robert route if I'm still single at 38. I'll have all my debt paid off by then. I'll just say eff it and go to every game in the world. I think i'm ok with this.

He also predicted that our 2011 team would be at least as good as 1999 or 2000 teams.

I would imagine he was referred to as just weird. I've talked to Robert on several occasions since the late 70's and believe me when I say he has come a long way since then
