in conference, OSU has the #1 total offense (also #1 nationally), #2 scoring offense (#6 nationally), #1 rushing offense (#13 nationally).
defensively, while not elite, they are solid. in conference #4 against the run, #5 scoring defense.
#1 in the conference in net punting (#2 nationally).
This is the best offense we've seen because it actually runs the ball very well. Need to stop their power run game (they call it the diamond formation). DLine will need to get off blocks. this really wasn't the time to lose Tre. I'm concerned.
Also, I saw Bullet poop on their field in 2003.

Effing Ron prince beat them once and probably should have twice.

I liked last weeks better, more believable IMO

Guys, this is going to be our 4th consecutive victory over a ranked team, and our third straight where we win by at least 30. It's going to be great. :gocho:
-
I'm getting more punchy with every win. We should beat them because their defense can't go 4 quarters vs. our attack. Oklahoma tried and even their d-line got worn out. We pound people like Nebraska used to do in the 90's. You get tired of it...and next thing you know you're down 21 points with no relief in sight.
Ostate, like TCU's, only hope is to score quickly and get enough of a cushion to force KSU errors....if we make any. Otherwise, this is a Cat win.

OSU has only scored 40 points twice this year, Savannah State and LL. Color me not impressed. They do have some real good balance in their offense and put up a lot of yards but their scoring in conference has been less than stellar. I think this game goes like TT and KU, close at half time and then a landslide the 2nd half.

Guys, this OSU team is one that not even Gundy will stand up for and he's a man, he's like 42 or something.

The more Catzacker predicts disaster, the more I trust this team. Cats by 28

Definitely run up the score.

all of the fans on orangepower.com say that this game is "very winnable" for them! I'm worried!

randle does scare me a bit.
But, pud schedule so far. Cats, big.

Gundy saying they are finally getting healthy and are a much better team than they were earlier in the season :ohno:

be nice to zack. Getting nervous makes the wins that much sweeter.

Didn't LHOFHCBS recruit him as a safety?

The Pokes are -4 for the season in turnover margin. Decided advantage for us.
WHEN they allow kickoff returns (rare), they give up some of the longest in NCAA.
They obviously play at a faster offensive pace. If I were OSU, I would try to force the issue on offense, put 8 guys in the box on defense, and try to make it a shootout, hope that Klein finally makes some mistakes in the passing game. As with the rest of the season, we should win as long as we limit our own mistakes.
Could be noted that against Tech there were a few significant "spectacular" or "close" plays that helped break it open: Klein threading the first (?) TD pass just past the defender's lunge, Lockett's tiptoe-dragging catch on the sidelines, the fumble by the Tech WR that stayed in just long enough to be a catch. Now, there were also plays that weren't made (like the dropped INTs), we would have still won because we were by far executing better than Tech after the 1Q, and our players have consistently made "spectacular" plays. But if there's an off night where we don't hit on those plays, then it stays a closer game for a longer time.
Love watching this team. They seem to just be getting better. It's still possible they may lose focus because they're 18-22 year old kids, but I've never seen a group whose chances I like better to stay focused and steady than these guys.
-
I am worried sick about this game.
-
most pud game on the schedule.
osu minus weeden minus blackmon plus some freshman dork qb who is banged up minus stillwater plus manhattan equals ksu wins big.
osu fans are adorable, though. "Arizona beat us, and they beat USC, so we must be good!"
-
I think OSU currently holds the longest streak for scoring 30+ in each game. I want to say they've scored it in 25 straight games. And Randle is the best back in the league.

no, I think we lightly recruited him as a RB. insider grumblings are that we were never really in contact and were the most pud of all teams recruiting him.

Oklahoma State scored 20 points against Kansas. It snaps a 22-game streak of scoring at least 30 points, which was tied for the FBS record. Oregon now has the longest active streak of scoring 30 points at 19 consecutive games.

welp.
-
Lunt takes this team to another level. Throw out all previous results, these guys are good and bill young has this defense flying to the ball.
-
So do we match up bad against them or what? I really want to destroy the guy that said that to me with some HFIQ talking points.

I have no idea what that would be based on. We're better in every phase of the game than last year. They are worse on offense, probably about the same on defense. We had a chance to win at their place in the final minute. We ran for 276 yards and threw for 231. We were decent against their running game (73 total yards) last year; while I respect Lund, I don't see him throwing for 500 yards like Weeden did.
They may compete with us similar to Tech for a while, but I don't see this game being closer than 14 points.

Thanks _FAN. This dorkstore is about to get de-pantsed.

IMHO K State is much better this year than last.
OSU is weaker. The main difference is OSU is much easier to defend in the red zone because our outside receivers are average at best and our freshman QB is good but not great. Weeden to Blackmon caused safeties to shade to his side which opened up the running game. Also our O-line isn't as physical as last year.
Defensively we are stronger at D tackle. But our negative turnover margin is a return to the norm so to speak.
Really enjoy your board.

Who scores more touchdowns on Saturday: Arthur Brown or Baby Lockett?

C43 - I'm gonna go w/Baby Lockett, though a couple out of Arthur would NOT surprise me. I wish :lynchmob: was back, because Arthur REALLY deserves to be among the 'Mob.

Also, I saw Bullet poop on their field in 2003.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Everyone is missing the point. 'Zacker saw bullett poop on the field in 2003, and was left emotionally scarred by the experience. Let's show just a little compassion here. Sheesh.
