This is Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Those 'similar' teams went

8-5 (2nd Big East)
10-3 (2nd SEC)
10-4 (4th ACC)
11-2 (2nd ACC)
11-2 (T-1st Big 10 but lost tie breaker)

We are clearly superior to all those first losers.
