Just wow.
-
:sdeek:
no way that happened.
-
ya, that prob shoulda been a td by stanford. I really hate notre dame.
-
He wasn't in. stanfords OC probably should resign.
-
he was in, or he fumbled and the OL recovered in the end zone.
-

Lou Holtz has the biggest smug, crap-eating grin on his face right now.

It has nothing to do with butthurt you moron it has to do with you being a dumbass.
-
They scored on second down.
-
Whether he's in or not is pretty irrelevant when forward progress is called.

Wow. It's worse than I previously thought.
-
The only thing I can think of is if they blew it dead but it didn't look or sound like they did. Should have been a fumble and a td.
-

If the play is called dead because his forward progress was stopped (eventhough he never stopped moving), that play's not reviewable right?
-

:flush:
-
Seriously, how bad is OU going to roll that crap ND team?
-
Love how espn won't even talk about or show the play. Not even mentioned in the highlights. :blindfold:

Replay of today.

they didn't blow it dead, it was ball placement
-
Go Irish!
-
Jeezus, Stanford. Just slip a TE out and toss it to him and you're still playing. With that said, he still scored.
-

How do they place the ball without blowing the play dead? He was on laying on top of bodies until fumbled the ball.

what was being reviewed then if they blew it dead before the final push towards the end zone? not being obtuse, i just think i'm just not following or being a dumbass or something. i assumed they were reviewing it based on that final push like any other questionable "did he get in?" call

Your first statement was confusing by saying "they didn't blow it dead". I think I'm with you that I think they blew it dead before he reached/fumbled. I have no idea if that's reviewable or what they were reviewing. I didn't think a play was reviewable for what happens after the whistle is blown, with the only exception being a clear fumble and recovery.

well i assumed based on the fact that they were reviewing it that the placement of the ball on that final "continuation" where he reached it to the goal line and lost the ball, ignoring the initial push he got stonewalled on. i thought emawmeister was saying that it was blown dead for forward progress on the initial push that he got stood up on and shouldn't have been reviewed (if they did blow it dead for forward progress there, then, well, yeah game over)

Yeah. I think I lost context of the thread/your post and misread it.
-
Yeah, normally, I'd probably be all like, Currie! :shakesfist:, but since we're ranked ahead of them, I'm just all, Bosco :gocho:.
-
ND one you butt hurt tree fans. Go rudy.
-
everyone seems to miss the fact that the runner's elbow touched the ground just before he extended the ball over the goal line. Oh well, ND is still undefeated.

Might finally see the mercy rule used in college.

:dubious:

The tree was way over watered.

Fuckin hate ND but I fuckin love Lou Holtz. I would have ran through a brick wall for that tiny man.
-
Holtz is the Dickie V of NCAAFB. I hate him.
-
Well, minus the whole NC thing for Lou. Also, Lou actually knows what he's talking about and his schtick isnt based entirely on random sayings. Sure, Lou plays the role of the good guy cheerleader but nothing like Dickie V.
