Title: It's freezing in my office!
Post by: Poster formerly known as jthutch on October 11, 2012, 03:52:33 PM
My thermometer on my picture frame/clock/thermometer on my desk says it's 61 degrees in my office.  Damn HVAC guy says he can't do anything about it.   :chainsaw:

I prefer a nice chilly office.  If it was any warmer I would fall asleep in my cubicle.

Yes! it does make it difficult.  One benefit is that I sprained my ankle and I don't have to ice.

I've never understood this. Everyone says how they fall asleep when it's warm, but that just makes me miserable and think about how hot I am. Being chilly makes me way more prone to naps.

If I'm ever cold I'll usually call the police no matter where I am.

yeah you could hang meat in my office.  I keep my house at about 68 year-round, but my office is unbearably cold.  we routinely open the windows and/or use space heaters in the middle of summer (not kidding).

Adjusting our thermostat is merely a suggestion.  Those HVAC units do whatever they feel like.  Probably need a "deal with it" gif with and HVAC unit.

There thermostat is in the break room which stays a nice 72-73 degrees but my office stays between 61 and 67 degrees.  67 feels great 61 not so much.  Also everyone is locked out of the thermostat, I deal with it just wanted to let you know I was cold currently it is a comfortable 66 degrees in my office.

We have fake thermostats that give you the illusion of being in control when actually you have none.

The assistant managers at the Dillard's in Manhattan would tell their complaining employees that the thermostat was entirely controlled by corporate in Arkansas.
