a DOD staple......don't see it anymore......anybody have a clue ?
can't imagine it's a personel issue, the way this team blocks.......maybe defensive formations ?
fan ? or anyone ?
:comehere:
-
we've only seen about 3% of the playbook
-
the formation with 3 fullbacks. what happened to that?
i mean, it was awesome. why can't it be how it used to be, ya know?
-
no more long bomb TD passes either. wtf?
-
WHAT ABOUT THE DOUBLE REVERSE?!??! :runaway: :runaway: :runaway:
-
Doesn't Hubesies strike you as one who would be fantastic at screens? And we like, have never even tried this. (YET)
-
Option pass. The one where Klein carries out the option fake and drops back for a pass to a streaking backside receiver.
-
Fake QB draw/jump pass with a behind the back flip to a WR. Where has that been all year?
-
Klein still doesn't seem like he passes so well under pressure. He might throw it into the ground or to a defender on a screen.

yes, because that and finding ways to get playmakers in space are exactly the same......

It is because of how defenses are playing us........
The key time to hit a slip screen is when the defense is blitzing and the DB's are way down field. Since teams are not afraid of the deep ball this situation doesn't arise much in the game.
My guess is if we hit a few deep balls they will soften up. So, if we are in a clear passing down, were the defense is going to blitz, with the DB's back. We will probably see it.

I seem to remember someone saying that Bill hates screen plays and will only call them if he is 100% certain they will work. He called some back during the DOD because they worked in within his scheme, but even then he didn't like to do it.
