Gameday is skipping the Red River game this week, and instead Week 7 will be at Stanford @ Notre Dame:
Week 8
Probable:
South Carolina @ Florida: South Carolina plays LSU in week 7, this either loses luster, or becomes huge
K-State @ West Virginia: If we beat ISU, and WVU beats Tech, this will be hard to beat
Possible:
FSU @ Miami: FSU and Miami lost in week six. If both win in week 7 (probable), then it's possible they play up the "rivalry" thing
Alabama @ Tennessee: If Tennessee beats ranked Miss. State in Week 7, this game could be two ranked teams, and they play up the "rivalry" thing
Week 9
Probable:
Miss. State @ Alabama: Miss State would have to keep winning, but hard for them to pass up a ranked game at the #1 team's place on ESPN
Florida @ Georgia: The worlds largest outdoor cocktail party. If Florida keeps winning, and Georgia doesn't drop another, this could be two top 10 teams, or at least a top 5 against a top 15...on ESPN
Notre Dame @ OU: Our best chance, and it's only one Big 12 team in the game. eff.
Possible:
Duke at FSU: You laugh, but Duke is undefeated in the conference as of week 6. If both keep winning, its the biggest game in the ACC...on ESPN
Michigan at Nebraska: The obligatory Big 10 game on the list...They both have big week 8 games (Mich St and NW), if they both win and get ranked, I've seen worse locations
Week 10
Probable:
Alabama at LSU: Depends upon LSU's earlier games (mostly the SC game), but this has to be the leader to get Gameday
Oregon at USC: Could be the #2 team against another top 10
No freaking way one of those two games doesn't get Gameday
Week 11
Very blurry at this point...
Probable:
Oregon @ Cal: Depends on Cal
Miss State @ LSU: IF LSU beats SC and/or Alabama
Oregon State @ Stanford: Could be two top 10 teams at this point
Possible:
WVU @ OSU: Would take both not losing until then
ISU @ Texas: Again, huge long shot, would take both not losing until then...it's Texas
Who knows after that....will update later....

Damn Pete, you're really working overtime on this stuff  Good job
-
I was pretty pissed when I saw So. Carolina and Florida in the top 5 this morning. Really want gameday in Morgantown. They have to get a Big 12 game in there at some point, right?
-
Best shot is Notre Dame at OU. :flush:
-
I'll be cheering EXTRA hard for LSU this weekend! Geaux Tigers! You're basically the same thing as Wildcats!

If we win the "dogfight" next week, and LSU wins, how can they pass up the meeting of two top 5 teams? (But, Notre Dame prolly jumps us if they beat Stanford this week...)

K-State/WV could get it, especially if LSU/South Carolina is on CBS. Even if not, KSU/WV will be the only game with two top 5 teams or 2 undefeateds. We have a better win under our belt than last year when they killed the 'cats OU game. The two possible games will have a combined 3 losses.
The only way we get the shaft is if LSU/South Carolina is on ABC, giving them potential leg up.

South Carolina plays Florida that week so none of this is valid.

Oh crap. Well, if they are on ABC we're mumped. If they're on CBS, we have a shot.

I guess I just assumed that at some point they would do a Big 12 game, and since they aren't doing OU-UT, that puts us in prime position. And if OU beats UT like I think they will, then K-State-UT at the end of the year becomes significantly less appealing.
That being said they may be holding out for OU-WVU in week 12. The only other game that week that even looks remotely appealing is Standford-Oregon.

We are going to get mumped out of having one again this year.

We are going to get mumped out of having one again this year.
If UT goes undefeated the rest of the way, and we do as well, we stand a really good chance on December 1st. No SEC teams play, and Rutgers vs Louisville is a Thursday night game.
Might even get it if we lose WVU and UT goes undefeated the rest of the way.

besides the east/west champions for the title...

Don't forget...KSU/WVU has 2 Heisman hopefuls :gocho:

This is actually a really good point.
Also, I hope all week our defensive coaches tell our players "Do you guys love Collin? Do you want to see him win the Heisman? Then go out their and SMASH GENO SMITHS UGLY EFFING FACE IN AND INTERCEPT EVERY SINGLE PASS THAT HIS UGLY FACE THROWS!!!!!!"

I think WVU is our best shot... but even then I don't like our chances. I think people will look at this game as "high powered offense vs. boring team" and think that WVU will blow us out. :frown:

Do we even want gameday in morgantown? I mean if it was Manhattan yeah but do we really need wvu to be extra motivated?

I want to beat them by 3 TD's while everyone is watching, yes.
-
If the announcers/hosts have any input, Gameday going to Morgantown for our game there is very likely. In case you all forgot, Klein is Herbstreit's favorite player in the country and I'm sure he'd love to call another one of his games.
