Lawrence is damn near as much of a "Small Metro" as Ann Arbor.
-
San Francisco isn't 1st? Lawrence isn't right behind them? I think someone has been lying to me.
-
i bet the cost of living in manhattan hurts us quite a bit in things like this. most college students don't have a lot of money and probably couldn't afford to live, eat, etc. in manhattan.
-
We don't care if our college town isn't as cool as yours, Iowa State, we're happier than you.
-
If State College is the #3 college town in America this list is total dogshit.

Agreed, 'geddon.

All total dogcrap.

ithaca is great, you're a complete dumbass
-
Champaign-Urbana makes Manhattan look like Monaco.
-
also, manhattan is more of a destination spot that happens to have a kick ass college as opposed to an actual college town with townies and where the whole town just revolves around their little school.

I hope this is sarcasm...AA has shits bigger than Lawrence
-
Also Lincoln being ranked at all is very lol. these rankings are from oppossite day. I mean, Lubbock being above Honolulu in anything....

Just got back from Burlington, VT, and I can tell you, it needs to be higher on that list. It's a like a New England-y version of Boulder.

It's pretty great.
Pros: Lake Champlain, mountains, ~1.5 hour drive to Montreal, quick flights to LGA/PHL/ORD, etc; college town vibe (University of Vermont), lots of good eats in the "downtown" area. Picturesque.
Cons: they get a lot of snow, even more than nebraska; you have to deal with subarus and those hiking sandal thingies everywhere. :dunno:
looks like not many cons.
-
Missoula would be fantastic.

Missoula would be fantastic.
It is. Fly fishing, skiing, kayaking, hunting, etc. Not that cold in winter (more Spokane than Chicago.) Decent culture because of the University. Grizzly athletics are an interesting diversion, but will never erode my emaw.
-
Hey porky morgan you live up there now? Been out on the prairies at all this fall/summer?
-
Anteloping next week.
