Bubbles had a nice idea in the Landry thread. It's time we turn to our brothers to the east and really support their QB who has struggled so far this season.
Dayne, keep your chin up. It's not easy when your fans turn against you after your program has only had a combined four wins in the previous two seasons. They think you can turn water into wine and crap coaching into a championship team. It's not easy, Dayne. We know it.
We support you. :tsc:
-
Dane, I know that given the right amount of time, your Notre-Damieness will come out. It's time bro. You got this.
-
Also, Charlie Weiss. You have a ton of Super Bowl rings and most ku fans have never even been to the Super Bowl. Hang in there, your strategy of taking troubled players and a TON of JUCOS will pay off if you just keep coaching hard and ignoring the haters.

Thanks, Limestone. Let's change this to both Charlie and Dayne support thread.

Ad astra per aspera, Dayne. :kstatriot:
-
Charlie, there is absolutely nothing wrong with resting half the game on a cushioned cooler. Even if you can't see the game as well, a rested coach is better than a non-rested coach. Get your offensive genius working, even if it takes more cooler time.
-
Weis needs more time. Minimum 8 years. They need to understand how far back Turner Gill set them. This ship won't turn overnight.
-
Charlie, we know it's tough. Even though you came in and thought you could just flash that Super Bowl ring and a winning team would appear, we knew better. It's time those fans showed patience in you and your staff.
Look to the west, Charlie. There's a group of fans over here who know what you're going through.
-
Charlie, just focus on getting a little better each day. The wins will come. I mean, sure you may lose a bunch and stuff, but how you lose is important. Show some improvement game to game, and surely you will win that one game you need to throw in the face of your shitty fan base. Also, wins are like mushrooms. Find one and look around, there are bound to be more.
-
I am going to light a candle at the Lawrence Universal Unitarian fellowship hall this Sunday for both of them.
-
Dane/Charles,
I'm sorry you play for such a crap fanbase. They turned on their winning coach/best quarterback ever just a few short years ago. They expect perfection, even though you were given crap tools/facilities to work with. You guys should have saw this coming, but since you didn't, good luck and fight on.
-

This is what I had in mind. It's a shame that Dwayne is in his fifth year, just makes it that much harder on Chuck.

don't worry, KU fans say that the qb next year, Todd Heap is a real stud. "can really wing it"
-
Chaz Bono and Dave Campo need to develop a system of clinking their Super Bowl rings together and make some kind of magic aura that turns ku into a winning football team.

Wonder Twin powers: activate!
-
don't cross the streams.
Very bad.
-
There is no Dayne Crist, only Zuul.
-
ku is 3 snaps away from being 3-1 with wins over two impressive up and coming teams in Rice and NIU.
-
Don,
Notre Dame is a top 10 team! They recruited you! Keep that chin up, fella. It will all be worth it when the hundreds of fans show up on Mass Street to celebrate a big, big, big, big jayhawk victory or Iowa State later this season. RCJH!
-
Dayne- I see that fire in your eye, your a winner, you were ranked the 3rd best QB in the WHOLE WORLD coming out of High School. I know you got talent so dont be afraid to let it shine.
Charlie- Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick both thought highly of you and counted on you as an important asset to their teams. You've got a brilliant offensive mind and are a PROVEN winner at every stop. You keep your head up and this Jayhawk team will schock some people.
-
Darrel Christie, you have at least twice as many stars as our QB, and our guy is going to win the Heisman, so you are probably going to win the Olympics or some crap. Congrats David, you earned this.
-
Good stuff guys! Support of other teams is a sure sign of a great STATE and CONFERENCE! I really prefer these threads to ones filled with disparaging remarks about 20 yr old college kids. (hint, hint Dlew12 )
Dane,
You are completing 48% of your passes. That is awesome! Don't believe me? Johnny Unitas completed 56% and he is in the Hall of Fame. You are only 8 percentage points away! Tell that to all of those KU "fans" and the liberal Lawrence media.
-
We empathize with a school that has to play football in a stadium with a track.
How can you compete with schools that are putting up $75 million additions as a single phase of a multi-phased master plan?
The answer is, "You can't."
T's and P's, Charlie and Dayne. You guys are doing the best you can with what you have to work with.
-
ku is 3 snaps away from being 3-1 with wins over two impressive up and coming teams in Rice and NIU.
Oh and maybe all you drive by fans didn't notice a little something KU left on the field called "17 points" against TCU.
-
You know who else only won one game their first season as head coach? LHC Bill Snyder. Let that sink in.
-
Dayne, Charlie,
Like firefighters rushing into a burning building, you stormed in while everyone else ran out. Often times, brave men such as yourselves are overcome by smoke inhalation...or crushed by burning timber as the structure collapses upon itself, never to be heard from again. Their remains are found days later, unrecognizeable, burnt to a crisp, and smoldering. But they are remembered as the heroes they are, and damn it, that's worth something.
-

you could argue that ku's program is in worse shape than K-state was prior to 1989, at least from a facilities standpoint

Memorial Stadium has its charms...by Potter's Pond, beautiful view of campus, etc.
-
they don't have a second level. obviously fake.
-
Dan, Charlie, Rome wasn't built in a day!
-
Charlie, we believe in you. You brought not one, but TWO 5 star quarterbacks to Lawrence! Can you imagine? 10 stars taking snaps every day at practice! Last I checked, 10 stars is more than 5, which is the amount of stars that super-stud/snazzy-dresser Andrew Luck has. Also, you coached up one of the greatest qbs of all time, Jimmy Clausen. Just look at his NFL resume. Keep on persevering, Mr Weiss. If only those ugly KU fans would stay past halftime.
Damien, I feel awful for the position you are in. Even with your massive arm-strength/genital size, your fans doubt you, pointing out such negligible factors as "decision making" and "mobility". Keep on fighting, your natural ability will win them over. <3 you
-
I think that given a massive facility improvement and a period of approximately 8-10 years, CW can overcome the limitations in Lawrence.
-
Charlie, I have the same cooler that you sit on all game, so I feel like we are connected!
Dan, people fall over all the time, just last week I stumbled over a small rock and (nearly) fell over!
-
Dwayne, I was playing catch with my kid this weekend and totally overthrew him a bunch. Like a lot. Don't worry bout it. Keep up the work.
-
Dianne, I wouldn't take a hit for that team of losers either even if it meant completing a pass late in a game that you were going to lose anyway.
-
Hang in there guys, basketball season is just around the corner.O yea I might be wrong about this but I seriously doubt the cats are gonna use 2 full weeks to prepare for you.
-
their stadium sucks...but their other facilities are great. You can do it Dayne!
-
Dain-
Don't be tempted by your depression to get super wasted and high.

One of the main reasons Don needs our support, IMO. There's been quite the pattern of substance abuse over there.
Ts & Ps
-
Our savior- You could always pull a Reesing (Our other savior!) and do keg stands with franzia and kiss dudes
-
Chuck,
Everyone knows that Mangino stopped recruiting even before the Orange Bowl season. Add that to 3 years of Gill's horrible recruiting and you've got a roster full of crap. Everyone knows and understands that it takes time to build a monster.
Keep your chins up -- good days are ahead!
-
Chaz-
Please keep talking about KSU incessantly, it makes you sound smart.
LSOC
-
Dayve, your purple brethren to the west of you beak-lieve you'll get it done. Just remember, those empty seats you'll see on Saturdays at Memorial are occupied in spirit by EMAWs who truly care about you. And also, you absolutely did not look like a FP for that slip you took against Rice...we all know the field was wet that day ( ;) ).
Best,
goCrist101
-
Dale,
We all understand your interest in protecting yourself from injury. After all, not many other transfers from ND running around on the sidelines. Don't listen to the negative nancys. Keep your chin up and your head on a swivel for the next time!
Your friend,
jax
-
Heyyy....you!
You keep yer chin up!
Bye-

Very under appreciated post, IMO.

The nation better be on alert, there is going to be a game where it clicks for Wayne...when it does, watch out :tsc: Charles will be so excited he will forget all about his taint cooler.
-
Dane,
TSC. Do you know what that means? Everyone in the state of Kansas is pulling for you. Think about that next time you put on a University of Kansas Jersey. We know you can do it.
T-Y Swifty

Notre Dayne,
You could be Christ with a little more "h" and that "h" stands for HEART my friend. Be thou not discouraged by so many incompletions and all those times where you can look back and say "crap got pretty crazy and confusing on that one and I kinda just tossed it up for grabs." You were ranked really high in high school, like a bajillion spots higher than Collin Klein, and even a few NFL quarterbacks!!! Let your balls descend and blue wings rise.

-
Doyle,
Don't worry. You got this, man!!
-
Devon, I'm calling you Devon because I forgot what your real name is. FYI.

Notre Dayne,

Dude,
You can't give a bill to the china-man who peed on your rug, but you can still be a winner.
Be a winner.
Just do it.
One spirit, one team, one win.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Talk with your feet. Play with your heart.
Coming together is the beginning. Staying together is progress. Working together is success.
Stand tall, talk small, play ball.
Respect all, fear none.
Hustle and Heart set us apart.
Softball: There’s nothing soft about it, it just leaves a bigger bruise.
It’s not how big you are, it’s how big you play.
Our goal is stopping yours.
My blood, my sweat, your tears.
Hands on your hips, a smile on your lips, spirit in your heart, we’re ready to start!
It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.
Save the drama for your mama, we’re here to play.
Talent wins games, Teamwork wins Championships!
We got bigger balls than baseball players.
It takes balls to play soccer.
We bust ours to kick yours.
Spike balls not sport drinks.
Football is about passing, blocking and touchdowns.
Cheer, Cheer, Cheer to get through the year! When you’re flying high look to the sky, and say Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!
You know your a swimmer when your friends complain the water fountain smells like chlorine and you think it smells like home.
When air becomes dense, we make sense.
