Is recommending a deli to a Jewish guy racist? Seems like it probably is.

Marv's is way jewishyier. I will try it this weekend and report.

How so Pete?
latkes, blintzes, motza, etc.
BUT, they do have pork, so that's very gentile, I'll grant you that.

Seems racist

So, its a non-Kosher Jewishy deli? Thats a tough demographic.

Kansas City needs a great deli. There hasn't been a real deli in the city since Jim Holzmark closed the venerable New York Bakery & Delicatessen on Troost three years ago. (I'm snobby enough not to count the Texas-based Jason's Deli chain, which has a couple of local outposts, as a legitimate delicatessen; it's an upscale sandwich shop that serves no traditional deli fare, including matzo ball soup.)

I went last night. Fairly good stuff. I'd go back if suggested, but I'm not sure how much I'd go out of my way for it. The latkes were good (lucked into half price thurs.) and the over under was delish. I think the word deli makes me think of a food store/restaurant. I was hoping for a Jewish version of La Hacienda where I could buy a yamaka and cowboy boots, eat a reuben, and then get some cheese on my way out.
