What am I missing here? I don't recall seeing Pease be in there much during passing downs, so I doubt it's about blocking assignments, but maybe I am wrong.
Pease plays hard, but he is still not as accomplished as Hubert on knowing when to turn it up field....but, maybe he doesn't get the play calls, I don't know.
My concern is that we aren't seeing Demarcus Robinson get a shot with the 1's. He's had good praise coming out of camp, and looked like a hard ass runner with the 3's. Nevermind the unexplainable Rose getting reps before Demarcus.
What gives?

This is how I am getting a little bit better today.

Secret weapon for OU.
-
Robinson. Though peace is decent.

This is when you insert the generic "lack of understanding the playbook" comment.
I'm #teamrobinson, but I bet Snyder would tell you that he doesn't understand the playbook well enough.
-
I just want to see Robinson gets some shots with the 1's. Just a few shots.
-
I mean, I have had a man-crush on this kid for almost five years now...and I really think he can be doozy.
-
Pease had some key blocks in the running game.
-
I'm just chalking it up to snyder head games, keeping him hungry and all of that.

Pease and Wilson were extra olinemen yesterday, flattened some Cane

Yeah, this is the answer. Snyds uses pease as an extra blocker half the time, he's really rough ridin' strong.
-
Pease has the physical tools but doesn't seem to have the vision. People had questioned Hubert but through two games he is clearly our best back. Robinson looks to be a gifted runner but I got to assume his blocking is lacking. Rose doesn't seem capable of gaining more then two yards on a carry regardless of how well blocked it is. I could see Robinson hardly ever playing until his senior year and then rushing for like 1,500 yards his last year.
-
Pease's biggest problem running is that he often runs like he's the size of Hubert or Rose. Too often he tries to make people miss and spends too much time going east-west and not north-south. We laugh about it, but the silly video point about "quit spinnin'" is a big part of his problem. If he just would limit himself to one lateral cut and then get vertical/down hill he'd be a much more effective runner. Think Josh Scobey. He's better this year than last, but its still an issue. Fortunately he's improved even more as a blocker and he has the size to handle it, so he's going to play.

Anybody else think Sams is too good of an athlete to leave on the bench until the game is already won? I wouldn't mind seeing him run the ball a few times, even though his role will be qb in the long run.

Give it a couple weeks.

If CK keeps holding onto the ball, we'll see more #life before too long.
-
I think we'll def see CK and #Life on the field at the same time once Confy play starts.
-
I don't think Sams would be nearly as effective at RB, if that's what you guys are implying. If both Klein and Sams are on the field at the same time, I think one of them should be at WR, preferably Klein.
-
Robinson looked awesome yesterday.

Klein hand off to baby Lockett, reverse to Harper, backward across the field pass to sams, sams pass to CK for touchdown.

Could this be the next "the play". :excited:

Annexation of Puerto Rico. Klein gets tackled but actually Sams has the ball running for a TD.

Pease is the best blocking tailback that I have seen wearing a KSU jersey. He absolutely destroys guys.

Ya, I had not factored this in to my evaluation, apart from pass protection.
Demarcus, please practice your blocking!

This. Pease was very effective Saturday.
