That looks like crap but I'll take it.
-
yeah, I mean, only KState could have people lined up around the rough ridin' block trying to hand them money and not know how to accept it. :flush:
-
I was in and then logged out accidentily.
-
I'm going to murder someones face.
-
Is anyone still shocked that everyone who has a life boat is fleeing the conference to get away from this small timey bullshit

Bless you sir

This thing was dead before it started. We all knew they'd eff it up.
Best part will be our AD deflecting blame and/or pretending it worked for everyone.
-
Not his fault. Everyone knows the blame lays down the line somewhere.
-
Dear CC-
This is why people think our AD is bush league. It is. Tell your bosses this is a failure and it's their fault.
-
Not his fault. Everyone knows the blame lays down the line somewhere.
Yup, probably Learfield
-
As a general rule blame lays at the lowest possible level. Thats business 101
-
LMAO you guys, John Currie has nothing to do with this. It's cbs's fault
-
Mine is working ok and im at my parents who have Internet via radio waves.
-
Idiot here. How do I make this work on my iPad?
-
You don't. iPads don't do flash
-
LMAO you guys, John Currie has nothing to do with this. It's cbs's fault
Yep
-
You don't. iPads don't do flash
FYSJ! :chainsaw: :curse:
-
LMAO you guys, John Currie has nothing to do with this. It's cbs's fault
Yep
Cbs is doing you a huge favor at this point.
-
Works on my Kindle Fire.
-
We are seeing about a 22% success rate. Good enough, right dudes!?
-
i signed up yesterday (just for the month) and turned it on about 5 minutes before kickoff and have had no problems so far
-
I have had to switch computers and log back in twice for non Kstatehd.tv reasons and it has worked fine :dunno:
-
I only had it buffer once so far. Picture sucks though and meter at bottom of screen won't go away. Worth the $10 to watch the pre-game and to have pictures to go along with wyattvision.
-
Or you could watch it at firstrow for free with no stupid bottom bar thingy.
-
Or you could watch it at firstrow for free with no stupid bottom bar thingy.
-
Works great for me, sounds like a personal problem.
-
Had no streaming problems except their idea of HD is average illegal streaming quality.
-
I logged in like 45 minutes before kickoff. tried to log in again at game time and couldn't. Was able to later but JFC thank god for the first row or whatever.
-
I missed the first four or five minutes, but after that, everything worked really well.
-

was your pic in HD

Thanks very much FP. :fistpump: Never could get logged in to the ksu site. Your link salvaged the night.
-
n00b trick... buy a new computer, upgrade you streaming through your isp, and/or stop watching porn.
-
I missed the first four or five minutes, but after that, everything worked really well.

No, but I'm too cheap to up my Internet connection for better streaming video. If I did, it probably would have been.
-
Tanner's at K7 took til mid way through the 2nd to get it. I PI'd the staff pretty hard, then found it it was KSU's fault. Felt bad but only kinda.
-
Also it looked awful. absolutely small timey.
-
Looked awful but worked for me the whole time.
-
yeah, it was 100% perfect for me, except that i wish they had their own announcers instead of using wyattvision
-

can confirm

-
I want to watch the game again. Why can't I?
-
I want to watch the game again. Why can't I?
Because Currie and the entire AD are a bunch or hilly billies who don't understand the interwebz tubes.
Also, why the eff is it so hard to find a streaming radio broadcast of the game?
-
Not his fault. Everyone knows the blame lays down the line somewhere.
It's Frank's fault
The MIAA has been streaming games for 2 or 3 years now and their system seems to work fine, maybe we could join their conference.
-
my guess is some IT guy mumped up and now you guys are blaming Currie, tucks, etc.
STOP THAT!!!
-
I just want to watch the game while sober.
-
I just watched the highlights, but the quality was pretty awful and I had maximum "bars".
-

i've been kinda staying out of this fight but it's pretty hard to argue with maximum bars. i'd love a comeback from anyone on that. sry rusty, that blows
oh man
-
seems pretty clear they needed a bigger pipe somewhere.
-
seems pretty clear they needed a bigger pipe somewhere.
yea, just a tad more should do it

Dudes, you paid $10 (or in the cases of the people who went to bars nothing). What did you expect for $10 a hand job from your computer with your flawless streaming HD on your 1995 laptops? C'mon people everyone knows that these streaming services to thousands of people at once are incredibly difficult to pull off. It's the same reason your cellphones usually don't work inside stadiums.
If you haven't figured it out by now, until the technology is perfected, you have to login early to these things to avoid the rush of people near kickoff time and if you don't have a newer, more expensive computer with good processing speeds and a faster connection through your isp, then you are screwed.

so why is it that everything else that i watch on my computer in hd works fine but not kstateHD.tv? it looks like a shitty photoshop in motion and the pixels are terrible

When is the technology supposed to be perfected?

logged in an hour before kickoff with my cbssports login i already had and had no issue with the payment. seemed to be in HD in the small window, but fullscreen was fairly pixled. also the bar at the bottom thing...i figured it was an IE issue but sounds like others have that problem too. streaming was flawless for me, i used wifi at a sports bar on a $400 laptop i bought a month ago. overall for $10 i'm not complaining. but i won't be using it after this month either.

The main thing with K-StateHD.TV is they film games, commericals, etc. with HD cameras. For K-State to actually stream HD video to thousands of people at the same time would cost a lot of money. You would have to have a lot of bandwidth & the server has to be up to it (CBS might not). They might get there in the near future with all of the $$$ they are bringing in.

K-StateHD.TV Technical Support
Playback should not stop or stall under normal circumstances. However, video delivery may be disrupted or the quality of the picture may not appear to be "HD" based on your network connection speed or during periods of internet congestion. If playback stalls, stops or plays slowly, try one or all of the following:
Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements
Refresh your browser or close your browser and open it again.
Avoid internet congestion by waiting several minutes before viewing the programming again.
Close other computer applications that may be open at the same time.
Update your Flash Player plugin and Java plugin
Make sure you have the latest version of your browser installed, that cookies are enabled, and any pop-up blockers are turned off.
Try using an alternative browser (If you are using Internet Explorer, try Firefox. If you're using Firefox, try Internet Explorer, etc).
Restart your computer.
They should make it more clear that the streaming video is not true 1080p/720p HD, but filmed in 1080i? HD.

It's the same reason your cellphones usually don't work inside stadiums.
this is off topic but if I worked for sprint/verizon/att/etc, I would build extra towers or whatever around stadiums so that my phones would work inside on game day. that way when my competitors customers are all pissed off that their phone isn't working, and their neighbor is all, "oh mine has been working perfectly," they think, "oh I should switch on over to gfa's company"

Nobody is arguing it isn't shot in HD, but what you are watching is not.
-
Technology Perfected?
Servers and networks with enough capacity to handle 1000's of simultaneous streaming sessions have been around for quite some time.
It's just a matter of want to . . . kstatehd.tv apparently didn't want to.
Sad
-
I wish I was able to pay them my $10 so I could be judging their picture quality

Learfield also was the reason a giant glob of catsup plopped on my food. It certainly wasn't my fault.

it was pretty awesome watching the highlight videos posted on the Kstate sports FB page just minutes after the big plays.
