Hill was a former player that quit to go be Part of a "Possee" for an NBA player.

Awesome if true.  I thought he transferred to a D2 school, though.

Lutz just on Mark Packers show (moved to new elite office, had to get the elite office stereo hooked back up) . . . mentioned missing on several "high profile" recruits.

Man, I bet he goes to sleep at night thinking about Beasley, then wakes up thinking about him.  Probably has a MB screen saver too.

what can i do, as a k-state hoops fan, to get Dalonte Hill off of our bench next season?   post here and i'll assess reasonableness of suggested actions.

The real question here is whether Currie will allow us to replace 'Te with a similarly priced asset.

I would be interested in that answer. Is there a budget that Frank gets to work with when it comes to paying AC's, or is it all in Currie's lap?

Really hope the former.

i couldn't even venture a guess as to whom Frank would get to replace him, but I'd guess that it wouldn't be anyone worth 420K.

rusty, what's Opp doing now? selling insurance?

last check, he was coaching 5th grade girls in Chicago.  sys tracked him down.  Before that, he was helping Ben Gordon w/ workouts.

...like, since we get no information ever about any recruit anywhere, who is figgs tied to?  Asprilla is Martin, Southwell is Martin/'Te, correct?  Sprads is Unds, Nino is Unds.  Thought Figgs would get us elite JUCO guys. Didn't Figgs lock down Awaji?

figgs got Russell and Mitchell, and got us mentioned with a lot of texas and cali guys.  Which is really good considering he makes 1/4 what Dalonte Hill does.

I'm hoping he gets all kinds of run for cleaning up his act during his game vs. Huggs.   Then gets hired by a mid major, stays for a few years and then once we realize that frank can't recruit and we fire him and hire Bozeman.

man, he would be perfect for them.  but just judging them by their message boarders, they'd never go for it.

So, if 420k takes a pay cut to be a head coach, can we take that 420k and get two 210k guys?

The celebrity that is Frank can get us all the athletic three-stars we want (which is what we're getting now anyway).  If 'Te isn't going to bring in the five-stars, he might as well find another gig.
Title: Re: Interesting thread (Charlotte related)
Post by: doom on March 16, 2010, 12:18:53 PM
I want them to hire in this order:

1) Te (he deserves a shot)
2) Quinn Snyder (would love to see a comeback)
3) Bozeman

But if Te leaves he'd probably find some way to pull cook or someone he should have gotten us and then I'll hate his face.

Te won't actually be taking a pay cut when you factor the amount of his salary he is funneling to recruits.

it wouldn't be a pay cut.  not sure where this ridic idea that lutz makes 300k came from.  had a really weird/mumped up contract with tons of idiotic incentives which makes it hard to know what he actually got paid, but he was probably averaging about 600k.  def over 500k.

they seem like they have a complete chickenshit a.dept., but even they'll have to bump that a little to get a semi-decent candidate.

I'm sure our DC Assault farm system will take a hit, but surely Charlotte won't turn into an A10 darling because of this, right?  :dunno:
Man where is the RCPD to hand out a well timed DUI when you need em?
