Title: ITK FB Intel
Post by: EMAWesome on August 26, 2012, 03:40:20 PM
So, a friend of mine is really close with an assistant coach @ KU & is really ITK w/ KCHSFB. His friend is miserable. Apparently, last week FB just released every single preferred walk-on that Turner Gill brought on to campus, including a kid that went to Rockhurst & played under Severino. I guess the RB coach called Severino to tell him & Severino asked WTF happened, and he was told that the kid in question barged into Weis's office & spewed off a string of curse words while Charlie was on the phone w/ his wife. Severino said that is complete bullshit, the kid would NEVER do that, and a KUFB representative will never be allowed on the Rockhurst campus in the future.

He says FB's ego is completely running the players & coaches into the ground...a few kids that are in the KC area that are '13 commits are strongly considering backing out before they sign their LOI...

FWIW, Sry if Luked

Don't worry, they'll still out-recruit us.

Weis is basically Mangino, without the good coaching.

It's alright, his Super Bowl rings and NFL experience more than make up for his failures at the college level

Schematically superior coaches with rings are a-holes because they can be.

It's still kinda shocking to me that a guy who was the OC for 3 Super Bowl winners is a complete failure at the college level.  It's like in 2005 he decided "I've put in my work already, now its time to cash in on it, drop down a level and make more money while taking it easy".  The guy is just so full of himself he doesn't think he has to actually work at this lower level, he's a better coach than everyone else because he has 3 SB rings so he can mail it in and cash some checks.  He can just throw his weight around (no pun intended) and things will get done.
