"There are a lot more people in this country that describe themselves as libertarian than vote libertarian," says Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. "You are a libertarian. How about voting just this way one time."

I made this the other day when talking to a friend about voting for Johnson; I'm getting so sick of the "throwing your vote away" argument... so stupid.

Option A will increase the deficit at a marginally slower pace than option B, though, while also jamming a whole lot of extra religion-based government down our throats.
-
But why bother even looking at option A, when option C is there? If you continue to support option A, you're going to continue to get fewer options in the future. Either accept Option A for what it is or reject it. Sacrificing principles to maintain the status quo cannot lead to anything positive.

Oh, I'm voting for Johnson, not that it matters.
-
My only point was "you're throwing away your vote" is just as valid when option C supporters say it to option A or B supporters.

like 42 of the 50 states or something like that have presidential races in which the results are already known with 99+% accuracy. lol at all of the voters in those states that will be throwing their votes away.
-
+1 for johnson here.

Voting for someone you don't support, because they're more likely to win, is just as much a wasted vote.

It's more of a self-fulfilling prophecy, really.

If my only options are Obama & Romney... I just don't give a crap. :goodbyecruelworld:
