I am pleased to announce that today will go down in the history books as the day that everyone's favorite young lil goEMAW'r Winters is moving to Manhattan in which he will be joining myself in a housing adventure that will have a lot of blood sweat and tears :lynchmob:
-
make sure he goes to class

Make sure he party rocks

Now this is a rough ridin' goEMAW encounter.

Prospects of some sort of giant sign that will brand your place as "the house that goEMAW built"?

will have to talk to the landlord but it could happen...also will need to get KazzouKats to start posting more...probably will send his gf out to scoop on Nigel again. I want this house to rival the DUs for most goEMAWy college group of rad people

winters, you should have lived in the dorms or a frat

There is still plenty of time for this and I hope I'm correct in assuming that Cas will help facilitate this and act as a helpful resource, as other goEMAW'rs did for him, some years ago.

Yes, miss out on the oppy to meet a lot of people by going straight to a house or apt. a dorm or greek will facilitate a lot of random encounters. Also, let's be honest, in the dorms or a greek house you are meeting a much greater variety of people. If you go the house/ apt. route right off the bat the majority of the people you meet outside of class will be at parties. Everyone parties, but when that is your main source of meeting people the overall quality of those people you meet s likely to suffer.

man, goEMAW saves the day once again

Winters texted me last night and asked if I'd be a reference for him. His words, not mine:
I'm going to use you as a job reference. Your charm will make someone hire me.
:gocho:

blind leading the blind, or something.

Ya, but I think it's better to join as a freshman. Could just be me though.

Agree. I was a spring, half my PB's came from house/apt, other half from dorms. House was way better than either in pretty much every way.

Thanks guys

Winters, just do whatever you want to do. Don't let anyone pressure you. Sheesh.

bad advice
It is wise to learn from the experience of others.

Let him have his own experiences. He's not you.

I agree with _33. Do whatever it is you want to do, 'ters, but make sure you educate yourself about the plethora of wonderful options you have before you.
There are countless trails that lead to the top of EMAW mountain.

He's more than welcome to have his own experiences. He would also be wise to listen to those who have had similar experiences. I wish I would have had more advice from smart, successful, good-smelling elders at Winters' age.

I got the same exact text. We're getting played, fanning.

While we're giving Winters unsolicited advice:
Don't settle down with the first decent girl that'll have you. The good ones really aren't interested in settling down until they are juniors or seniors so might as well sow your seeds as long as you can.

Don't murder him when you have learned all you need from him about conversing in English.
