Every morning when I go in my closet to pick out my work attire I look at my lonely hoodies and that amazing pea coat and scarf and shed a tear.

Hey Dlew, want to go hangout in the 20 degree weather?  Shoot some hoops or something, take in the sun, maybe enjoy some suds on RABs secret patio?

What?  No.  Get lost.

Is there anything worse than walking to class in the winter?  No.  Nothing.  You put on like 5 layers of clothes, freeze your ass off, try to do some kind of walk sideways/backwards thing to shield your nose from falling off (doesn't work) and when you get to class, you have to ditch the coat, the hat, the gloves, the sweatshirt - what turns out to be about a week's worth of laundry on the floor - because they don't know how to regulate the heat in the bottom of Eisenhower hall.  So miserable.

Summer?  You're like, "man, it's hot as hell...we should go to the pool later."

And maybe your room is terribly insulated so it gets down to <50 degrees at night so you think about investing in an electric blanket and one night you maybe get a bit too pak'd and wake up to this abomination on your leg:

AND THEN IT GETS INFECTED:

AND THEN IT SCARS OVER, LEAVING YOU AS SOME RUINED, WRETCH FOREVER:

WINTER DID THIS TO ME AND I'LL HAVE MY REVENGE!

Kansas weather: we have to get the absolute sh*t of both summer and winter compared to every other place in the country (maybe the world  :sdeek:)

what other place has over 20 days of over 100 in the summer, but will also have 20 days of under 30? (rough estimates, too lazy for research but seems right)

I will work on research today and get back but think about it

Initially I'd agree but 20 days of over 100 in the summer seems a bit high. This is the hottest summer we've had in a long time...

I looked at Manhattan weather as a reference .We have an average Summer temperature high of 90 degrees and an average Winter temperature high of 43 degrees. That's a 47 degree difference!  :runaway:

BTW, Summer was June, July, August and Winter was December, January, February

besides the getting a few months off from school thing, i've never been a fan of summer. start sweating every time i walk outside? no thank you. think of all the modern (and not so modern) technologies that keep us comfortable during the winter! heating, fireplaces, gloves/scarves/stocking caps/snow boots, hot hands. you can enjoy the beautiful snow & wintertime landscape while feeling comfortable & toasty.

Yeah, I was often subject to alcohol-induced fugue states, aka walking blackouts.  I would basically turn into a man-baby and wreck stuff (not in a mean way, just didn't know any better at the time), eat whatever food I could get my hands on regardless of ownership, be very cranky and unreasonable, and on choice occasions cry inexplicably.  The alcohol could shut my mind down, but my body would go on functioning governed by some base/primal consciousness.  Waking up the next day was always a very bad feeling.  I dreaded hearing the "Oh, man do you remember what you did last night" convo starter.  No, no I do not remember.  :ohno:

That pretty much describes the weather here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morro_Bay,_California#Climate)

Where can I move that its between 40 and 60 at all times?  Cause that would be perfect.

Maybe an occasional blazer at 70 degrees.

Go a little further up the coast to Cayucos. That is a sweet little town on coast. I would live there.

WTF is winter?

San Diego's weather is boring. 76 degrees with no humidity almost every day. Nights can get a little chilly; we sometimes dip into the high 40's at night during those 'winter' months you guy talk about.
Other than the earthquakes and other freaky california type stuff, is there a better weather place on earth? Meditteranean possibly?

Cannot speak intelligently on those places outside the US since I have only done traveling in the Med, but as far as INCONUS, Souther California cannot be beat. I've lived everywhere from WA to KS to RI to VA to GA to CA. Southern California weather cannot be beat.

The three problems with California are the taxes, outrageous laws, and Ed Hardy retards.

Summer is fine, but 100 degrees can GTFOOMF.  If its 85+ it is way too sweaty.  I'm not a wintertard, but I'll definitely take Spring and Fall first

100 degrees wouldn't be as bad if we weren't also in a humid, sweaty climate.  Manhattan is probably one of the worse in Kansas when it comes to humidity, must be the river valley or whatever (LWIQ). Though western Kansas does not seem nearly as humid.

Don't even get me started on Arizona.  There is no rough ridin' water, why is there a huge rough ridin' city in Phoenix?!?!  There shouldn't be a rough ridin' city there, or in Tuscon, or any of the other rough ridin' cities in that stupid rough ridin' desert.  What a horrible waste of resources.

Was just going to post this. Flagstaff is the greatest city on the planet that doesn't host the KSU Wildcats.
