I'm letting those in the know define that to a certain extent.   Will be Batpaking at the Olathe 30.

Why didn't you just say Olathe?

Olathe only allows chain restaurants inside city limits.  Also, you can only paint your house one of three shades of beige and you have to ignore your kids in public.

Hmm... There are a crap ton of chains down by the movie theater, not anything really close that isn't a chain.

It doesn't have to be adjacent, but we'd probably rather not drive to the Northland or Plaza.

I think they used to be owned/ran by the same people, there's another near Westport.  They are "separate" now, I think for tax evasion reasons or something.  The menus are slightly different but the phad thai is exactly the same.

Yeah, go ahead and dig a hole in the parking lot and do the whole pit roast thing.  they don't care and no one will notice the diff in the parking lot.  Leaning against your truck to relieve yourself is considered an acceptable form of a port-o-potty in Olathe.

Safest bet is to eat a big lunch and fill up on movie theater pop corn.  Either that or get your E coli vaccine on the way and mix your movie theater drink 50/50 with hand sanitizer.

Spin pizza off 119th couple blocks east of black Bob.  Asian pearl (chain?) Is pretty decent, 119th and Ridgeview.  Oklahoma Joe's (already mentioned) is very close and amazing.  Especially if none of them have been there. There is also a 7-eleven recently converted from a shell right next to ok Joe's, and slurpees are delicious.  You can go to BD's Mongolian bbq across from oak park mall. Yes, it's okay to go to a chain, you're plans are to go to the amc to watch batman, you aren't too good for a chain at this point.

I was JK bro calm down. But seriously if you're going to OK Joe's go to the real one
whats not real about the leawood location?

that gas station sucks and the uniqueness of a bbq joint at a gas station is more played out than drake's new album that he'll release next year sometime.

But he forgot to mention that you're in the ghetto (KCK), which also makes the experience more real.

the food is the same at all of them. I'm a picky eater but I go to the one in les wood when I'm home since its closest. The one in Olathe is always super busy though

The only people who prefer to dine in the Olathe location are those that actually think the real one is in the actual ghetto.
Same with Garozzo's. Olathe location is awful, and not the same.
Same with the downtown OP farmer's market. "It's like the City market but with less minorities!"
Same with the Legends Arthur Bryant's  :barf:

I just dislike the fabricated ambiance of the burbs but I'm glad the above locations exist so that the people who do enjoy it can stay out of the original locations.  :clac:

I like all of the OK Joe's locations, but you are 100% spot on with Arthur Bryant's other locations.  Their downtown one is my favorite restaurant in the world, but the legends one is seriously meh.  Gates' doesn't seem to have that problem.

Yes, but relative to where I'm from (Stilwell), it's all downtown once you are close to I-70.
