cleared for take off (out of manhattan) :frown:

Damn.

Will Spradling haters can look forward to 40 minutes of him to hate per game this year
Angel's gonna have to play less aggressive on the ball (probably would have anyway) (https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2FgoEMAW.com%2Fforum%2FThemes%2Fchemical_light%2Fimages%2Fpost%2Fthumbdown.gif&hash=8dd80960f8ef307338fbca112d065a3f636aaa7a)

weber's just clearing out lockers for orris like prince did for freeman. can't wait!

Can we still get Josh Gray?

Can we still get Josh Gray?
Pretty sure he is still waiting by his phone for oscar to call.

Webster would call him, it is just that he doesn't want to miss Fitz's call. He feels bad for Fitz not being able to get any information from the FB program, so he wants to make sure Fitz doesn't lose heart when he calls Webster and it goes straight to VM.

Can we still get Josh Gray?
Would absolutely love to take a chance on him but he already signed with Tech. Some informed folks have said he's a real longshot to qualify, which would put him on the Prep school or JC route, but I wouldn't count out BCG from making this happen.

I know, I was trying to make a crack about not bringing him on because it was unclear if we had a scholly for him (you make crap happen for Orris).

Yeah, waiting on Gray would have been worth it, IMO.
Hopefully, reports of Omoney's emergence are legit.

Who is The Jet?
-
Who is The Jet?
You just made a fool of yourself in front of sd.
-
Who is The Jet?
Some guy who isn't very good, but may indeed be better than the alternative.
-

Good thing you didn't go running up to him all excited like, as you were contemplating a few days ago. You are back at square one, which is still a much better position than I am.
-
So after all the crap about how half the team was transferring under Frank, we're going into next year short a scholarship player and with the 2 guys we had recruited (one being highly sought after?) replaced by, at best, middling players?

I mean, yeah, if you want to get all technical about it

Huh. Well at least Weber's been fired before just like all great coaches.
-
who was the highly sought after player that left? The Jet?

well the good news is that frank was the sole reason that we weren't getting any of the good spiece guys, so i would expect a willie cauley decommit to kentucky coupled with a semi commit very soon. probably next week. maybe tomorrow. hell it's probably already happened.
-
(one being highly sought after?)
Arizona St, Houston, South Florida
:dubious:
-
who was the highly sought after player that left? The Jet?
Upshaw? (highly sought after, relatively speaking)

Did you really expect him to stick with KSU, especially after the "financial aid agreement" fiasco?

Bummer. Illinois has one sophomore combo-guard and no point guards next season. We are absolutely loaded with can't dribble, can't shoot wings though. Should be another great year.

Who is The Jet?
You just made a fool of yourself in front of sd.
Maybe he wasn't watching. I can play it off like I meant to trip.

I don't expect anything myself, but this all really flies in the face of what I heard Saturday night / Sunday morning.

Tracy Abrams not a PG?
Would be cool to see DJamer Richardson find his groove this year, just for the greater good of hoops and all that.

I don't know what jugofsnyder told you or what the up to date Curriebot company line is.
All I can say is, I was/am pretty high on Gray, I was/am very disappointed that our staff didn't follow through with him.
Jones really might have been able help us this year, particularly providing some offensive spark, we've got some other decent guards, 1 potentially great one(Angel :crossfingers:), it was probably going to be tough for him to see consistent minutes here in 12-13.
Or maybe it's a personal issue with him that I know absolutely nothing about and is really none of my business.
Either way, I don't see this as a crippling blow to the 12-13 season for KSU.

Hoping to be in the future. Was strictly a scorer in high school. A lot to expect of him in only his second season.
DJamer is a solid three-point shooter, but he can't drive to save his life. He is what he is at this point.
Groce's offense relies upon penetrate and kick and we have zero players with that proven ability, nor the required outside shooters to profit if we did. It's going to be a mess imo.

He probably came across a leftover Frank head-on-a-stick thing and freaked out and transferred.

Godspeed, Cessna Jones.

We'll always have that first half against OU :frown:

the Jet wasn't going to get any minutes here so he went to find some. big deal, unless you're looking for crap further your agenda.

24 Jeremy Jones
Class:
Senior
Hometown:
Chicago, Ill.
High School:
Simeon
People from Chicago hate oscar is all. Should have seen this one coming a mile away. Probably asked oscar for money under the table or something and oscar was all "No way man, I'm honorable." The Jet: :clac:

AB3 nicknamed the locker-room "josh" and he's just commenting on the paint job and his prescience of it. Like when black folks sometimes call everybody "joe" even when that's not their name. :dunno:
-
Or after oscar broke his heart josh decided to start learning a trade and made his way to manhattan anyway. Grats on the career josh! you like like a promising young electritian or gereral laborer.

It's a thing. Can confirm.

regional thing, not black thing

regional thing, not black thing
I imagine it could be both or neither. One doesn't preclude the other. It's usage is more or less exclusively African American in my community. I've encountered it too frequently to be considered an aberration. It's just slang, there's no value judgment attached.
-
no black people do that in california. so it's probably a black midwesterner thing.

Yeah. That's what I was trying to say in my response. Could be very regional AFAIK. Super popular here though.

i think the mystweet is simply a person saying that he was surprised they didn't take gray.

:frown: Oh, man. Sorry guys. Just wrapped up in introducing different cultural vernaculars to the board is all. Back to business. :bball: Did we figure out why oscar blew it with Josh Gray yet and why AB3 is mocking him on the twitters for it?
