Title: Sad day for America
Post by: jeffypostsongpc on July 01, 2012, 04:01:24 PM
So now that Congress can force American's to buy anything, where does it stop?

And since anything a person does can affect their health, what can't they regulate?

This is so correct.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPvuYxUxEto

There are a couple options here aside from full repeal, which cannot happen because there will be too much politicking.  There is no "reconciliation" to repeal it.  Too much entitlement residual will stick around.

Nullification.  Of course that doesn't get rid of the infrastructure at the federal level.  Some states will still be sucking tax dollars.

Constitutional Convention.  Never been in favor of this, because when that happens, then anything goes.  However, at this point, I'm not sure there is any way to avoid that.

Of course there is always the option of full revolution.  It's going to happen eventually.  This pretty much ensures that Greece-like budget problems strike us.  When people lose their toys, something nasty will happen.

way to keep all credibility by linking to a president who's policies are nearly 100% opposite what you support!

Congress isn't forcing anyone to do anything except pay a tax

Congress isn't forcing anyone to do anything except pay a tax

There is something like $500 billion/year in new taxes and will go up to more than $800 billion by 2019.

Don't we have like huge deficits that we have to pay for?

Well, yes we do. 50% more than we did 4 years ago and increasing by $1.5 trillion a year. Time to stop the over-spending
