I'll share the latest in tomorrow's Friday's Findings as I'm still getting all the details, however, it doesn't appear to be as cut and dry a situation as was originally thought.
From what I can give you all now...
When I left Manhattan for a week off in KC back on May 25th, I was under the impression that it was all but a done deal and Jeff could be on campus as soon as that upcoming Thursday (May 31). Well, Jeff never did get to KSU that Thursday nor is he on campus as we speak.
Change of heart? No.
But it seems that scholarship situation we all thought we'd moved past is once again looming over this decision process...

The problem is the scholarship limit on the incoming class, if I'm not mistaken. Tate's scholarship does nothing for us here. Maybe the solution could be to let him live with Tate and let Tate handle all of his expenses while living in Manhattan.

This is it precisely. If you have people paying a premium and you actually have valid information, wouldn't those people expect you to give them that information? Instead, he tries to dangle it like a carrot because he actually doesn't know jack crap.

my guess is that he put that little nugget teaser out yesterday with the hopes that ballplayers or someone would then beat him to the punch and report whether or not luc was indeed coming and then DJamer could cry foul and wail against this new age reporting stuff again. hasn't happened yet hence no story.

ok so it looks like gopowercat rushed their story and beat me to the punch with the same information i had. luc might come and he might not come.
i was working on a real story meanwhile they beat me to it with quotes from an unnamed person on a digital sports blog. it's new media like this that enfuriates me. i had the information first but wanted to write a quality story with actual quotes from jeff in it but new media type people beat me to it by rushing a story. really frustrating and makes me long for the days of credibility in journalism.
