Played Stagg Hill this last weekend and found it in the best condition I've seen in years. Played Colbert the weekend before and Stagg is in much better shape. Is Colbert limited on water? Colberts practice tee was bone dry and no grass to speak of. Tee's and fairways brown, what gives.

yes limited on water because of the new firestation. only you can prevent fairway fires!

They've been on what seems to be water probation since they opened. they pay some astronomical amount each week.
If you have extra time, and just want a nice change, go to council grove country club. greens are in great shape, honor system for paying, and they have a beer vending machine

This is the same as the Stafford county country club, does council grove also have an alcoholic maintenance guy who takes his job way too seriously?

If cart maintenance counts, then sure. got mad at us for crossing thru 5 feet of non-green grass. alcoholic, not sure. he was honestly the only other person there on what would be a busy day at stagg/ch/mcc

Funny story about Colbert Hills...
When they first opened, the city hadn't installed any water meters out there. So for the first few months, the city had absolutely NO IDEA how much water Colbert was using. Someone lost their job and the city was all butthurt and asked for money to pay for the water. Talk about the worst possible place to just forget to monitor how much water an establishment is using...

I'm sure one of those city fat cats was paid very well to "forget" to monitor the water use at Colbert Hills.

Yes, but Jamie Vaughn never would have found out about the transaction unless it took place somewhere food was sold, like Dillons, Chipotle, McDonalds, etc.

Wut? That guy is the biggest prick I've ever met. He is consistently an bad person to every person who walks into that clubhouse under the age of 40.
