I've been saying it for a long time, I will not hire an assistant until I see his wife. If she looks the part and she's a D1 recruit, then you got a chance to get hired. That's part of the deal. There's a very strong correlation between having the confidence, going up and talking to a woman, and being quick on your feet and having some personality and confidence and being articulate and confident, than it is walking into a high school and recruiting a kid and selling him.

Oh my.

With that said, Vandy has 10 commits so far.

2 4 Stars
7 3 Stars

This is Vandy with a CAC stadium, and CAC facilities, that hasn't done anything of significance in decades.

Nigel Bowden a 4 Star LB has offers from Miami, Tenn, Ole Miss and Miss. St.

Jonathan McCrary has, get this .  .  . had 9 BCS offers including Ohio State, Kentucky, FSU, Georgia, GT, Purdue and North Carolina.

Last year every Vandy signee was rated 3 star or above.

Maybe he showed Ron a photo of what she looked like before getting married and having 2 kids. And maybe, just maybe, she was a looker back then.

This is setting up nicely for "people James franklin would not hire as a coach" posts

Fumi made the bleacher report 25 hottest college football coaches wives list.  Must be said, not a lot of "D1 talent" on that list imo.

That said, yeah I'd hit that.

This story is old. I've read it long ago. That or he stole this idea from another college coach.

fanning, you may enjoy this quote as much as I did.

During a job interview, I referred to the University of Phoenix as "The Harvard of the Internet." I thought it sounded good and would increase my chances of getting hired. Turns out it worked, because I was the second-best candidate and the Wendy's manager conducting the interview laughed so hard that he had a heart attack and died.

Had probably heard "Harvard of the Plains" and was conditioned to laugh.
