Hmmm... It's almost like republicans will vote for whoever is the republican candidate, but Paul... Brings in votes from independents and even some democrats that hate Obama. Wow... It's almost too perfect.

Maybe at this time... During the preliminaries... We should show our support and voice our opinions on who we think would have the widest demographic and most support going up against Obama. I don't know about you guys, but up until anything is official in August - I think we should all support the best possible person to defeat Obama and stop listening to people say things like unelectable... Consider me a Paul fan. Because he's the best candidate for defeating Obama!

Imo the problem with Ron Paul is that he doesnt hate Arabs and Gays as much as a true Patriot should. Thus, we should nominate a major bigot that pretends to be a conservative but really is no different than Obama.

You're right. What was I thinking.

But If I'm wrong, It's not too late!

Another thing no one is telling you about, In the eyes of the National committee.... The RNC does not recognize delegates being bound by state rules. All of these maps you see on CNN/Fox/etc. are bullshit / worse than speculation. ALL of the delegates are free to vote for anyone they want in August in the 1st round. In your face democracy.

The only delegates that might switch their votes are those who are delegated for somebody who's dropped out of the race. Romney will end up with the same number of delegates as the CNN/Fox tallies say he will.
-
That's not how I'm reading the RNC rules.
All delegates can vote for whoever they want regardless of state convention rules.
-
Not to mention Fox/CNN/Etc. aren't even following the state rules... which don't matter anyway. They're counting Missouri & Iowa and several other states that say ALL of their delegates are unbound in accordance to how caucus results and giving many of those delegate votes to Romney. Even their soft counts are a farce. No one knows EXACTLY how any of these votes will come down until August.
Every Delegate count you've seen isn't anything more than the media trying to guess the winning lottery #'s.

paultards are so adorable, they really think this old fart is going to win something

It's not as unlikely as you think.

it would be awesome. But America will continue to suffer regardless of who wins between Barry and Mitt. Slowly people will make their way over.
Look at how much support Ron Paul gained from 2008 till now. Its been huge. A couple more election cycles and we may actually make some progress as a nation

At this point, he has a lot more support than Romney. Romney supporters are either Mormon or "Atleast he'll be better than Obama"

Do you really believe any politician or president is going to have any change on America? The economy, times, etc. is all just a cycle.
-
cycle huh... you've been reading into the Mayan Calendar thing too much.

Question about Rand. So he said that he wouldn't have supported civil rights legislation and used a libertarian cover. Rand Paul doesn't support gay marriage. So is Rand Paul a liar, moron, or a bigot?
-
Can RP do this another election year? I'm all for shaking things up, but I'm too busy bleeting all over the place. I'm not sure, aside from my flanks, I have the chops to vote RP when balloting comes.
I don't have the ability to grow a lot of facial hair, but mutton chops I can achieve. Why was I not taken into account during Paul's storm? I could have supported RP, but I realized my power towel was made of wool and thus had to pledge my allegiance accordingly. My name isn't Josh, but I am a free man.
Ron Paul 2016? I'm down.
2016 comes, question asked: "R U Still Down?" Reply: "Remember Me"

Probably a bigot. I don't know much about Rand; I know Ron personally doesn't agree with gay marriage but says he doesn't think it even needs to be state issue, let alone a federal issue. We're all going to disagree on personal issues with candidates, so I guess I'm glad that he doesn't think he needs to make laws to support his own moral convictions when he knows other people have differing opinions.
I'm of the opinion that in legal terms, they should all be considered civil unions. Let the churches decide on marriage.

I know Ron is on record saying he would have supported repealing the Jim Crow laws but not voting for the law since it over reaches. I imagine Rand holds the same stance. The idea is that if a business is being ran by a bunch of racist hayseeds than thats their right, but others will take note and refuse to do business with them or be their customer. So it boils down to states rights.
As for marriage...keep in mind each man is a fundamentalist Christian and their values derive from that. The difference is that they dont go parading around against gay marriage since, again, they just see it as a states rights thing.
-
Actually there's an interview of Ron saying he would prefer gay marriage not even be a state issue and has said that it he would prefer states not issue marriage licenses etc. Which I can see. If you think about it, the original intent was to prevent people from marrying their sister/cousins/etc. I'd like to think we've moved passed people wanting to marry their sister - and even if we haven't - I doubt these people have enough moral standards that would prevent them from rough ridin' their sister with or without marrying each other.
I'm of the the belief that public persecution & humiliation is the preferred means of preventing sister fuckers... It worked with my bro's in terms of rough ridin' fat chicks.

Rand certainly does go parading around against gay marriage. Also him utilizing his christian values to shape his agenda is far from something a true libertarian would do. Frankly Rand isn't a libertarian, he's just another partisan, tea party, douche. Ballz had the right answer BTW.

fwiw i dont know a lot about him. The main stream media (fox) doesnt fear him like they do his father, and he was endorsed by the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) Sarah Palin so Im not sure if I can trust him yet (or ever).
Also fwiw, someone using their Christian values to shape their agenda does not exlude them from libertarianism. It's whether they decide to force people into accepting those values or not. Ron does not, and I guess im not sure about Rand.

The law may overreach, but at the time the Jim Crow Laws were in effect, more people would have taken note and refused to do business with the people who were not racist hayseed bigots than not. It would have only encouraged more business owners to continue their racist hayseed ways.

Sorry Paulites, but we still have the convention.
