A big section on State. :ksu:
Jesse Palmer says that Collin Klein might "die" this year.
Herbie says K-State is an "ankle turn" away from winning 0 Big XII games, referring to Collin Klein, because without him, we suck.

I haven't seen it yet, but I would bet a chunk of change that Robert Smith gave us no less than 3 "umm..well...they won 10 games last year with a large amount of luck...not saying they were lucky, they created their own luck...but they were a 7 win team that won 10 on lucky breaks" type of back handed compliments.
-
i diddnt see it either. But espn hates us. So eff them.

Whoa, you mean if a team's best player and heisman contender gets hurt it might adversely affect their season?
:horrorsurprise:
-
yeah. everyone loves us. Don't kstate this thread up.

No just our season... everyone else has 85 Heisman contenders on scholarship

I think Arthur Brown getting hurt would cost us more games than Klein getting hurt.

Our offense was much better when Coffman was starting than it was last year. Losing our best defensive player would hurt the team much more than losing our best offensive player, especially when you consider the dropoff at both positions.

I don't disagree, but please. If K-State still had the 30th pick in the NFL draft suiting up at RB, you might have a point.
Let me reiterate: Klein plays (arguably) the most important position in sports, accounted for over 85% of our TDs last season, is a heisman contender, and is backed up by two freshman.

ESPN just confirmed that K-State is a no talent team that wins because of one reason and one reason only: scheme doctor.

KU football has a lot more wins than K-State over the years.

I say this every year, but:
I rough ridin' hate offseason bbs'ing like, 90% of the time.
-
I understand the frustration. I really do. In KU's best sport, we win at the highest level, with the best players in the country. In K-State's best sport, they squeak by with crap talent and a 72 year-old coach. The best it gets is maybe 10-11 wins and a Cotton Bowl appearance.
T's and P's, cocKSUckers.
-
I really enjoyed the Art Klein discussion we were having, but leave it to OS to come in here and make it all about KU.
Again.

Hey, I'm staying on topic. ESPN just pointed out how weak K-State's talent was, and how it was all about scheme doctor. I thought that was generally accepted.

No they didn't, you dumbass. They said Snyder is a great coach. Also, K-State has a Heisman contender in the backfield.
-
i must've missed the segment on kansas when the most respected college football minds dissected their team.
-
Again, ESPN is the one that pointed out that if Klein got hurt, K-State would be lucky to win one conference game. Not me. Don't shoot the messenger.

Actually, they talked about KU quite a bit, and mentioned that Weis is getting all the attention right now. Things are finally back to normal.

"If the team's heisman contender get's hurt, they're in trouble."
Yeah no crap, OS. I already said that.

Yep... Weis getting all the attention right now somehow equates to K-State bringing KU attention. Hmm...

Beems' basketball team just went to the NC a month ago, and all he can think about is K-State football. So adorable.
-
Again, ESPN is the one that pointed out that if Klein got hurt, K-State would be lucky to win one conference game. Not me. Don't shoot the messenger.
Well, I guess Herbie forgot about Tuggle. Doesn't matter, we all know of one Big 12 opponent the state's flagship program doesn't need luck to beat, KUpcake.

Also Herbie is a true dipshit saying if CK got hurt we won't be winning any games. Hate when they overemphasize a point to get their message across. :curse:

"Heisman candidate on offense and multiple All-American candidates on defense/special teams = weak talent" -Beems

SS, Beems is just tolling. BB season is over and he doesn't really have a team to route for that he believes in. We all know he's a closest :emawkid:
-
Beems, any word on if Coach Frontbutt is going to keep "The Gridiron" around? I find the production quality of that series to be exquisite.
-
Sheesh, it's awesome being awesome.
-
Owning ku is sometimes too easy .
-
KU isn't good.

I agree. Quite good. Id really like whoever it is that5 does the voice over for that to narrarate my life for a day. Would really help my self esteem
-
Loved the Gridiron, everytime you get about 3/4's of the way in and think ku won the game.
Fantastic
-
Sheesh, it's awesome being awesome.
Indeed :gocho:

Without the 10 minute segment about K-State there would have been no mention of KU Football on CFBLive

meh...wins in the last 60 years (1952-2011)
KSU - 280
KU - 279
gotta define years. If you're talking about years when boys played on dirt fields w/ leather helmets and long before televised games...then, yes.

'grats on those wins prior to the 1950s. I'm sure they're memorable to many living today.
prior to '52 Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Army, Duke, Tulsa, Minnesota, etc. all won at a higher clip than Oklahoma. that should give you a good starting point when discussing relevance. But if you would like, I could drive over to Lawrence and assist you in hanging a banner which reads, "we won more football games than the grapes back in the days of the 'Grapes of Wrath'".
Relevance...it's all based on your own view point. Like the fan of a program that has won two conference games in three years getting jollies off of being mentioned when 13th rated in-state rival is being discussed on ESPN show.

you really gotta appreciate the effort beems puts in.
Basically, he tries to sell that KSU and KU are practically identical on the field right now. Then you read posts like these from the real world...and real world fans.

TCU at most wins 8 games.
Okie State with a Freshman QB, at most wins 8 games.
West Virginia has not seen defenses like it will face in at least 3 teams, Texas, OU and KSU, they win at most 10 games.
The favorites this year in my order and opinion:
OU
KSU
Texas
West Virginia
Then the rest all jumbled up, but those 4 teams are head and shoulders above everyone else.
TCU and OSU are going to understand the term rebuild vs. reload, same with Baylor, Nick Florence, give me a freaking break. Tech may be the surprise or the flop of the league this year.
again, real world, real fans, real football discussion:

1 thing I really love about football season is that my wife tends to get a little more frisky especially on Saturdays. She has made more than 1 comment about the hotness of Jesse Rosie Palmmer. If he helps get my wife a little "worked up" during the season, I would then agree...yes he is dreamy!

Mrs. Hamburglar watched him on The Bachelor. Now anytime I watch Thursday night games she makes an "Oh great, this d-bag again" comment.

Yeah. Craig James has never been on General Hospital, The Bachelor, American Idol, or any show on the CW, so she doesn't know who he is.

What a wonderful person. Herbie and Jessie are nice, as well.
I really thought the video was neat.
