“With someone like that, there’s always a second and a third act,” Khan said
:sdeek:
With four highly rated freshmen from Chicago on the roster, Illinois was 15-3 after beating Ohio State on Jan. 10. The Illini lost five of their next six games — the lone win was a 42-41 upset of Michigan State — and Thomas declined to give Weber a vote of confidence when asked about his future during a radio call-in show.
The Illini then lost seven of their remaining eight games to finish 17-15, culminating with Weber’s dismissal.
“At the beginning, it was great,” he said. “We were playing well, going well. There we some things that had happened … I knew what was going on.
“When you’re coaching without great support, it’s really hard.”

oscar Weber / KSU Match
I had a wait and see attitude re: Coach Weber. Glad I didn't "jump off the bridge" with the coaching change. The more I find out about Coach Weber he seems to be a KSU type of coach. I like the less "crazy" approach to dealing with the players and a Coach with a professional demeanor. Hope I'm as happy next season.
Go Cats!!
The problem with Newton Cat is a "KSU type of coach" is a loser. Has been for years prior to Huggs/Martin regime
It's mind blowing that you're not confined to a chimp enclosure.

This was less about Frank and more about the coaches before them

You don't need to validate yourself to kim carnes.

weber reminds me alot of snyder, just without the coaching ability. really nice and likeable, but still thinks its the 1920's and Al Capone is running Chicago.

The problem is there are a lot of Newton Cats that allow the John Currie's to keep acting like John Currie's.
anyone have the dates on when weber's family emigrated? wonder why they chose the us instead of argentina.
Louis Weber was raised in a traditional immigrant family of that time, searching for a blue-collar endeavor to make his way in a new land. He was high school educated but went to work at the Heil Company, which made dump trucks and garbage trucks. He worked his way up to sales.

Pissed about BW hire
until more and more information came out. I'm really beginning to like this guy more and more. Seems authentic and believable. He seems much more like a Kansas State guy than Frank ever was. Thank you for posting all the unique and interesting EMAW family tidbits and scoops. You guys are awesome!

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Frank, but Weber does seem much more like a "K-State guy".
You know, the more that has come out on oscar, the more I've come around.
I think euthyphro11 really says it best, 'Weber does seem much more like a "K-State guy"'.QuoteTheMooad
