How long I was at work before the first KU fan blamed the refs.
-
That's about how far we got into the game before I saw KU fans blaming refs.
-
KU fans at my office are very reasonable today. All of them realize what they ran into last night.
Their objectivity is pretty disappointing.
-
One guy wanted a foul on the steal after TRob's one handed rebound. :dubious:
-
If they're blaming the refs, they are doing their team a great disservice for a helluva effort in a "rebuilding year"

So you work at WalMart or McDonalds? :dunno:

Any KU fan blaming refs is a shitty fan. Kentucky was better. Our only hope was they got tight and missed jumpers. They didn't. They won. It was a ridiculously good season and run in the tourney that balances some of our better team's faceplants.
-
really the only time in my life i have had respect for a University of Kansas squad.
:tsc:

They did get tight and miss jumpers/bunnies/free throws.

Not near enough.

All the long jumpers that KY made in the 1st half were killer, they miss 2 or 3 of those and KU's run in the 2nd half gets to 1 poss game where Cal may have blown it.
Great season for KU, I feel sorry for any KU fan that doesn't really enjoy it

the refs were fine last night, they let both teams get after it.
ku didn't play very good last night. a lot of that may have been UK, but KU was making their fair share of stupid mistakes (EJ in the final few minutes).
ku needed a lot of things to happen to overcome the talent disparity last night and those things didn't happen.
it's a credit to self and KU that it was as close as it was but it's also very scary to think of the gap between Kentucky and one of its supposed peers.

I would agree with everything you posted. Keep in mind this wasn't by any means Kansas' most talented team. But that matters jackshit. Our talented teams faceplant. This one, the little engine that could, didn't.

12:00 left in the first half
When I started to see ku fans post about the refs on facebook

no doubt this wasn't a great KU team but they'll be one you always remember. probably more than the ones loaded with talent.
i realize that 100% and give a ton of credit to self for his coaching job this season. the one KU team over the past 25 years that I least expected to see in the championship game, make it that far.

i think it was about the 6 minute mark in the 1st half when i actually started to feel sorry for ku. it was so weird.

UK started the 2nd half 3 of 14 with 6 TOs. KU only cut the lead from 14 down to 10. Then UK hit back to back 3s and the lead is back to 16. The beakers played great 2nd half for 9 of the first 10 minutes and the lead acutally increased by 2.
That is a credit to UK's defense throughout the game. KU had 44 points with 5 minutes left in the game.

I had a buddy who acted all big because he didn't melt down about the loss and said he was ok with the season. Really? A Conf. champ, a win over Roy, a final four, and a final four win? You're ok with that?
