Title: A Query
Post by: Three Fingers on April 02, 2012, 04:28:20 PM
I have no idea whether or not Weber will work out, but I wanted to ask this:

What were your thoughts when Weiser and Wefald promoted Frank?

I was apprehensive then, and I am now. I was probably willing to show a bit more patience due to the Beasley/Walker combo that stayed and the fact that I still had visions of that neck-bracey dick hole patrolling our sidelines.  I think I'm willing to see what happens with the staff and transfers before I go out to buy a bullet and rent a gun.

The guy who brought in the GRCOAT was staying(Hill). I was ok with giving the unknown Frank a chance since the recruiter was staying.

I was for it. There was no choice. If we hadn't promoted frank, our team was likely sitting with 3 scholarship players, iirc.

I always loved Coach Latin Fury. I wanted him to get hired because  I knew he was our only chance to not blow it and hire another wooly. And I knew it was the only way to keep GRCOAT. I was so validated when we found out Frank could actually coach.

I was all for it. Mostly because it kept the recruiting class together, but I told people, at some point every head coach needs to get their break, maybe this is Frank Martin's

Michael Beasley/Bill Walker had a crap ton to do with peoples' initial reaction to Frank getting the HC job.

I was for it until I saw Frank's suits.

Almost everyone was for Frank because it meant GRCOAT. Only one dumbstick was opposed.

Frank had never had a chance and blown it like Weber.  Also Frank had the # recruit and several others (pullen, walker, sutton, brown) in tow.  In this case a spineless AD wanted a stopgap so the program looks just good enough for him to hop onto another ship he can sink.  He didn't even interview a college bball celebrity who was begging for the job, or underwood, and this is after HE CLEARLY RAN FRANK OFF OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR.

We really didn't have much of a choice but, in post game interviews Huggs always gave props to Frank and that gave me confidence
