Title: Gene Keady's take on Weber hire.....
Post by: RustyWagon on March 31, 2012, 12:54:15 PM
Gene's blinded by bias because they're good friends but claims it's a great hire.  Claims Weber will keep current players, has a good chance of keeping Upshaw, has 2 top 50 recruits in his back pocket, and might bring 2 transfers from Illinois.    Gene was telling people that the hire was a likelihood back on March 26th.  And Weber initiated the interview not Currie.

More evidence, if any was needed, that Currie is a gottdamn Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

Couldn't agree more.  That is exactly why I included that sentence.  Five days ago some interest fell in his lap and he hired that person.  I'd love to know the details of the "coaching search".

This is a classic Weber smokescreen.  His performance at Illinois would not have been tolerated at KSU.  And look at what he started with.

He is all promises and excuses.  He saved his job at Illinois for a couple years bragging about the recruits he was bringing in.  It didn't make a difference.  Anyone who believes this crap will believe anything.

By the way, I have no problem with you taking some of our current players.  Tracy Abrams is the only one really worth a crap but if he is dumb enough to hitch his wagon to Weber you can have him.

Best of luck to you.

He found the Currie's posting on craigslist did he?

Jack Gardner gave Absury a glowing endorsement back in the day and Tex Winter did the same for Wooly.  I expect not much better this time around.

rough ridin' coaches will never say anything mean about another coach. (except for Gottlieb, who would have been a rough ridin' boss calling out jank's divorce.)

Gene Keady is pro oscar Weber he couldn't care a crap about K State basketball and is too blind to see the truth anyway.

I don't care about KSU basketball one way or the other, but I just watched oscar Weber ruin our program.  We haven't played a meaningful basketball game in about 6 years.  I am feeling sympathetic for you guys because you've had a good program lately.  That is going to change.

If Gene Keady cared so much about oscar Weber he would not want to see him fail and would have locked him away in a bell-tower to spare him the shame of getting fired again. Food for thought. Keady HATES oscar Weber.
