if there was any question at all left in your mind as to whether john currie takes kansas state basketball seriously and wants it to be a high level winning sport then this should have squashed it. he does not care one rough ridin' bit. he wants basketball to sit quietly in the corner and not embarrass him while he sells cheap football tickets to pack bsfs and build a couple of new shiny things that will look great on a resume. there is zero commitment to winning basketball. zero.

snyder hates him too.

I don't think he just doesn't care, I think he actively hates KSU basketball. He wants to kill it. This is probably to get back in snyder's good graces.

yeah. saying he doesn't care was a poor choice of words on my part. this was a giant eff you to kansas state basketball fans and a clear message that having a really good basketball team is not on the top 100 list of things that currie is concerned about while he's at kansas state.

oscar Weber had a $3.9m buyout from Illinois. Currie definitely got a cheap deal here.
The message is clear: this administration doesn't give a crap about basketball. It just cares about showing off it's profit at the end of the fiscal year. And being rough ridin' respects.

I just want nice things . . . and AD who raises money, builds things, and helps put winning teams on the court/field.
