I mean, can he be pretty good? All Big XII? :runaway:
-
I think we've pretty much seen his ceiling. Which is fine. He was really good last year for us, IMO.
-
Yeah was solid, not a home run hitter
-
John Hubert is alright. Thats about all he will be.
-
Collin, Daniel and Chris help him.

You ruined Bryce bro. I will never forgive you for that. Ever.

I gave Bryce hope, Bill ruined him.
-
Hubert can be all big 12. He showed flashes last year.

Yes, our three headed monster became a one eyed cyclops. :sdeek:

That's pretty rough ridin' redundant, Katdaddy.

What if Angelo Pease gets more carries, and Hubert gets a rest now and then? Maybe then, he could hit us a "grand slam"
-
Remember that TD he had against ISU? What if he does stuff like that more often? Would take. That's what.

He will be very good in 7 or 8 games this year, but he is going to average 2.8 ypc again when we play OU, TX, and other top 25 defenses. And that's ok, because not too many teams can run against defenses of that caliber. I think 7 100yd performances is his ceiling.

oh man, would rough ridin' take
-
I think Hubert would be better with Sams at QB. A passing threat would make it harder for opponents to stack the box, and Hubert, who seems to be built for consistent 4-5 yard gains, would be better suited for that. It's better to have a home run threat at RB against a stacked box so when you break through the second level you have nobody left to beat.
-
Our backs are weak sauce besides John John
-
people ITK claim he has tapped out his potentialand were amazed he accomplished what he has.
same people say DRob could be a stud if he gets his stuff together.
??? i guess we shall see

How many of these do we have each spring?

This. Personally I think Pease will get a few more carries this year and Klein will average about 18 a game until we break him. Would be ecsatic with this outcome. IDK if this is an all-league talent...but if he shows even moderate improvement from last year I will be ecstatic.
-
Klein never gives the ball to Hubert once we're within the 20. Kinda think either 1) Klein is a glory hog, or 2) OB tells him not to option to Hubert in these situations. I mean, after the Okie St game, you'd have to think the defenses were going to commit to stopping Klein.
-
i'm curious to see what pease would be like when he's not running the wildcat, since that's the only time we saw him last year.
dear bill, the wildcat with pease doesn't work.

This is obviously the same situation Lance and Wendell faced at West Canaan, anytime they were inside the 20 Kilmer let Lance have all the glory. Cant wait for Mox(Sams) to come in at the end of the year to save the day!!! :excited:
-
He completely limits our offense. He doesn't do anything better than average. Why don't we have a better running back?

Hubert's ceiling is the floor.
That is the one position where KSU is below Snyder's typical standards. It just sucks since it appears he has nice talent just about everywhere offensively for next season.
PW, Snyder didn't crush Bryce. Bryce crushed Bryce. Maybe if the effer wouldn't purposely tank blocks he would actually be staring at a contract worth millions in a few months rather than trying to make the cut as an undrafted free agent. It's a team game and even some kentucky 18 year old hoops players seem to get that.

pease would've had more carries last year but once he got hurt and then hurt again their hands were tied.
-
Yeah i never understood why Old Ballz used Angelo Pease in just the wildcat. It was so predictable. I mean goodness gracious sakes alive.
-
Hurt :-(

False alarm by WITB

Be nice to John. He's young and made some plays for us last year. The ISU run in particular. Also when he bulldozed that MU safety and bashed his helmet right off his head. Point is, he had flashes where he was really really good. Hopefully as he gets older those moments occur more often.
Pease really impressed me today. I didn't like him that much last year, but he looked really good and very fast. I think him changing his number from 29 to 8 also impacted me. 29 is such a losery number.
Also, Rose had a really good cut today that I liked.

nailed it. eff i'm good.

You guys are dumb. Hubert is really good.
-
He's good, but our O-Line is better. We are winning "in the trenches". But hubies is better than I thought.

I love absolutely nailing stuff like this.

Yeah, dlew just took a big crap on all of us, and I'm loving every minute of it.

The angle from behind the offense on the TD shows what a badass he is. Juked an unblocked linebacker in like 3 yards of space, and then ran through a tackle. Not many past KSU Cats backs would have scored there.

MIR and I enjoyed the crap out of these.

Hubert is my second favorite ksu running back of all time. He's really amazing.

Wow very main stream here

fascinating, i pegged rusty as a eric gallon type.
-
I would have guessed Thomas Clayton was my favorite, but nope. It's Darren.
-
Am I being overly critical when I say that over the last couple of games that Hubert is dancing a bit too much in the hole/backfield?
-

Yes, but that's okay.
-
I loved the way he ran the ball against TT. I thought he might have been dancing too much early, but I think that was due to TT being pretty assignment sound. Eventually, when KSU got them guessing where we were going with the plays he was able to run really well. The strength he showed on a few of those runs was really something.
-

i can remember two times in particular where we needed one yard and he was trying to spin instead of just finding a crease and lunging..
outside of that, no complaints.
-
We need to have a good Run D against OSU, and Hubert got to go off!!! This game could be for 1st TEAM BIG 12 RB.
-

I don't ever yell stuff when it's quiet in the stadium but that one time when we needed a yard for a 1st and hubert spun in the backfield and we barely got the yard I yelled really loud for him to stop spinning. Felt silly after because I yelled it so loud but I felt pretty strongly about it.
-
I like it a lot about the fact that he can also catch from the backfield. Hubie has great hands.

He dropped so many easy passes last year! Been a major area of improvement for him.
-
I think that Rock Cartwright would be an excellent hipster pick as favorite Cat RB.

I've never seen anything like this. Dlew is telling us to hate Klein in an attempt to get us to love Hubert more. I mean, lol, I can't believe it took me this long to figure it out.
