Title: season tickets

If we hire oscar Pearl I will buy every available season ticket plus all those shitty top corner football tickets just so I can get a good view of where oscar holds services while at football games.

if people give up tickets before we hire a coach it won't look good in the coaching search.  if you don't like the hire/year we have next year then dump them.  Plus if you dump them now and we hire Pearl you will be all  :bang: because I will have bought them all up by then and be  :excited:  :emawkid: :ksu:

Depends on the coach for me.  For Henson/Underwood/Jank/Boyle/Etcshit, I'd rather watch on TV and not drive the 2.5hrs.  If we get someone with potential excitement (Pearl, Capel, Jay Z, NPH, etc), I'm all in.  :emawkid:

There is a reason K-State fans are apprehensive...

We tried the assistant (Altman), the mid-major up and comer (Asbury), and the far out reach (Wooldridge). All failed miserably.

We then went hirable with baggage coach (success, even though he left) and really caught lightning in a bottle with Frank (mainly because of his connections with baggage coach).

Seems reasonable to go back to the hirable with baggage coach to me.

I think this is a good analogy and might be able to stomach it if Underwood has a more entertaining style of play the Dana did/does.

This exacerbates my conspiracy theory of Currie trying to make this Weber's last year.

Discounted concession items, hadn't noticed that before.  And I'm sorry, I don't see how they put this out with players who aren't in K-State material. Some of the mug shots are ripped out of recruiting photos and look like crap.  Coincidentally that is the only shot of Vulture.

Hey CC what's with that buy in and don't question anything crap, or you're not a part of the family thing?

It never says don't question anything, or be a sunshine pumper — me personally, I take it as saying even if you do question stuff, or are unhappy about stuff, it's ok... it won't change the love you have for your school. You can be unhappy about last year and still love K-State. I would hope that describes just about all of us. That's what's great about K-State, we aren't tshirt fans.

Wichita State has plenty of "fans" right now, and lots of them probably never attended school there. If WSU goes 15-18 next year, will lots of those people still be "fans"? Probably not, because their investment is tied to liking winning. It is easy to be a t-shirt fan of a team when they win. Being a fan of a team that struggled last year is harder: if you're not a K-State grad or not part of the "family", whatever that means to you, then last year would be a pretty easy time to stop being a fan or stop attending the games.

But there are plenty of people that will still be fans, even after a season of losing. And personally I think the AD messaging speaks to those people... it says they know last year was hard, and we as fans shouldn't be happy about it, but they understand why you still come to games or buy gear or donate etc... it isn't because you like K-State only when they win.

I did not enjoy last year. I have no idea if next year will be better. But I'm still a K-State grad and a K-State fan, and this team and staff won't change that. So they will have my support as long as they wear the purple.

i have a hunch and i think it's a more than reasonable one but you're right in saying i don't know. i also don't think i'm making an assumption that supports my narrative but i also know what's going on in my brain better than you so this discussion point is/was unfair from the start. saying i'm doing this is like trying telling me what my favorite color is or whether i find one person more attractive than the other.

If CC is answering questions, why did the marketing group purposely leave Weber completely out of the 12-page mailer?

Well, CC previously cited American car companies and their advertising "best selling," so I think that he'd say that their failure to mention oscar is akin to American car companies not mentioning inferior products and recalls in their commercials.

That's just good business.  Go cats.

Would it be "praise" to the AD to say that this is the best give away they have ever had, or would it be shaming?

My guess is that CC is concerned that they are being shamed, when he should just be proud of it.  Maybe I am wrong.

I dont think its either. Its their job to sell tickets, and based on ticket sales across sports the last few years, they do pretty good.

You guys have a clear position that weber sucks and currie sucks, and no one should buy tickets or go to games until bw is fired. Thats ok.

You guys also distort facts or ignore them in order to support your position. For example, the gveaway item. I dont think thats ok. So i will point them out when i see them.

so we're comparing a reversible jersey with a poster

Wasn't a comparison. They do first day prizes in football, wbb and baseball as well. It's not a new thing they wheeled out this year just because mbb missed postseason.

It is a new thing.  A give-away is different than a randomly awarded prize.  I think you know that.

They do both, every year, across sports.

I don't think any of the players have in game experience so action shots would be hard

Great.  Do you have examples of some that are comparable to giving away hundreds of free jerseys?

I think we can all agree that free jerseys, while completely unprecedented, are a good thing for fans who will likely enjoy far fewer traditional rewards by attending games this season than what they have enjoyed in the past (save for last year, of course).

I watched all of the games back when we had Wooly and asbury, and listened to games on the radio when they weren't on tv. So, last year really wasn't that bad. I'll watch all the games again this year.

Basically, I'm a great fan

What a great #family member, Fake Sugar Dick.

#Family proudly supports mediocrity through thick and thin.

You're the cynical loser of the family that doesnt get invited to weddings and stuff, and who everyone laughs at.  "Mom! Lasagna!"

You seem like you are bent out of shape about people being bent out of shape about free jerseys.  That is a weird thing to get bent out of shape about.  Though, I am not going to call you a baby, FSD.  Go cats!

There was a full page devoted to them with their names and pictures.  The face of the program, no mention.

I've renewed my season tickets and made a request for an extra one for a buddy.  He thinks we will be awful next year, but is willing to attend some when possible.  Even though I am no longer a Weber fan, I do like having tickets to Cat games.

Yep, free stuff is great. I hope we win lots of games this year. Go Cats

a free jersey for getting tickets is absolutely fantastic and the person who thought it up should get a raise. it didn't quite make me pull the trigger but damn those lavenders are beautiful. also, there are tabs at the top of the page. one of them says "my messages". you should check it out when you get a chance.
