that are acting happy or hopeful, or that are blaming martin, or that aren't ready to exact physical vengeance on currie, gtfo of here. rough ridin' retards. go tuck a shirt.
-
:bawl:
EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm crying because I'm sad. Not because I think you a being a whiny bitch.
-
Martin could have tried harder to get along. Hell, just pretend like you're giving a crap about what Currie is telling you. How hard is that?
-
sys, now is the time to come up with your choice for the next coach. no time to burn currie when so much is at stake.
-
We lose Martin and lose the chance to run Will off. Great day, guys, one for the books.

the only thing to hope is that he picks the worst coach available, so we can fire both of them quickly and get an ad capable of hiring a good bball coach in before the decade is out.
-
Frank deserves some blame too :flush:

Great! Love your spirit.

I'm full Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) tonight.
Dammit, we're staring at the imminent hiring by Currie of Tad rough ridin' Boyle. The window of message board gold is going to be brief. Get on board Sys, we need you.
-
Lol at you dumbasses for responding to the sys bait thread.

boyle would be a decent hire, there's no way currie gets someone that good.

Boyle would be a homerun hire. Would probably even be on a short list of KU candidates if Self left.
:dunno:

i am in absolutely no mood to play around tonight.

After some time to think about it and review his resume, I would not meltdown if we hired Boyle. But like Dlew (I think) said, if Currie ran Frank out of town for Boyle, that's a different thing.
-

It seems he tried for three years to get along. How much longer should he have tried and why?
-

Yeah, no you don't, it would be completely counter to everything you think about Kansas Basketball. If Kansas hired a career .500 coach who won 1 tournament game in 7 years there would rightfully be a revolt, I don't care if the dude was born in the house of mouse. Besides pining over people with school ties are not how blue bloods generally operate. Did Kentucky hire John Pelfrey when they had the chance? Did Indiana hire Dan Dakich?

It's not. And we're all going to rue the day because of it.
This is why I appreciate Cheyenne. He knows his one and only job is to sit on the sideline and clap for Bill Self. It's not difficult.

basketball can easily be swung one way or the other, its not a tough program to turn either way and its definitely not as tough as football which can take a few years or longer. basically what I'm saying is this is not the end of EMAW basketball.

Yeah, its not the end, but the problem is we had what most of us always wanted. A solid coach with personality that had us in the top half of the league and in the NCAA tournament. I never asked for conference titles and Final 4s every year, I just wanted to be competitive in the league, have a solid program, and win some meaningful games in March.
We had that and not its gone. And its not easy for a mid-pack BCS team like us to replace IMHO.

dammit just let me stay in this bubble that everything was going to be alright. I really dont believe we can win here consistently w/o a more "zany" coach. we may have one of these years we have come so accustomed to w/ frank every once in a while now, like when we have a solid group of seniors....eff this is a little depressing now. basically lets hire pearl. rinse and repeat.

absolutely Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). bball is more difficult. you need to maintain a place among the top 30-35 schools. 15-20 of those spots are about permanently occupied by schools with much greater advantages than you. that leaves you fighting with about 100 schools of roughly similar resources/situations for 10-20 spots. you have to be in the top 10-20% of those schools. you know what your chances of hiring a coach that will do that are? they are 10-20%.

Have some Tang and calm down Sys

Also with a new coach you can join the rest of the Big 12 and be able to beat Kruger.

lol at anyone picking a side in this shitshow
