I can't imagine many K-State fans would stand up for the guy after the way he handled this situation. How long does he last now that Frank's gone?
-
DO YOU NOT SEE THE FIRE JOHN CURRIE THREAD, YOU DUMBASS
-
Absolutely. We are in the minority on this situation. The GPC crowd will stand behind Currie. I hate our fans.
-
golly, I never considered that this might be bad for him.
-
Interesting take, with a unique point of view.
-
grats beems

Reminds me of the Al Bohl/Roy Williams situation several years ago. KU opted to fire Al "Crushed Dove" Bohl instead of losing Roy. I guess K-State fans prefer hoarding cash over a flashy, loveable coach like Frank.

Hadn't thought of that comparison. hmmm

yeah and they suck off the closest available authority figure.

Here's another fresh, new take on the situation: Currie's ego has been inflated exponentially since hoarding loads of cash and building new facilities. Perhaps Currie wants the chance to hire his own coach, and he thinks he can do better than Frank. Maybe, just maybe, big-time boosters like 'Pad were in Currie's ear after the losses to teams like OU and Iowa State, and they gave him the green light to run off Frank.

He just wants someone to call him OregonLuke.

Money was rolling in so fast, and with the processes in place that all state agencies (even athletic departments) must go through to build things, you don't really have any choice but appear to "hoard" money.
$45 million in private donations in 2 years.

We better be really big in football right now or trends will reverse.
-
Maybe the whole Currie/JamSam situ was to show the NCAA the vast amount of compliance that our school has, and we could keep oscar under "control"
Currie is a rough ridin' evil GENIUS

Will KU be angry when we hire Cheyenne?

Does Currie get most of the credit for that, or should most of the credit go to the success of Frank and Old Balls' programs?

credit to pullen and OB, imho.
-
I'm gonna go ahead and put all my eggs into the oscar Pearl basket I guess. :flush:
-
To be fair to OregonLuke, the other threads are about whether Currie will still be AD at KSU. This thread is about whether he lives.
-
He'll be fine. No one outside of this board gives a flying eff about roundball.
-
how good are his bodyguards?
-
Guys, I asked my wife what her tuck family thinks and they are worried and ready to be pissed.
-
I know a good hitman.
