K-State fans can't let a Currie statement consisting of: "we did all we could" "we offered him a comparable contract" and get away with that crap.

Knowing our fans, they will fully accept any A.D. statement release as scripture.

This really just comes down to Currie pulling his head out of his ass and doing the right thing we don't need "lightning to strike twice" for us to go out and hire a coach who would love to coach again. Lightning struck once with Frank. I don't equate hiring a proven coach with lightning striking. If Currie doesn't hire Pearl, the Animal needs to fire him via text message.

The only way he survives is if he knocks it out of the park and hires Pearl. Pearl > Frank Martin and would be as media saavy (nationally) as FM. He's going to have to go after a big name and he's the only one that would consider KSU IMO. He's available. Currie likely has the NCAA kissing his ass for the way he handled Jamaar Samuels and pushed out FM who they can't be happy about his recent statement on paying players as a highschool coach. I'd see Currie getting the NCAA to reduce the SHOW CAUSE penalty.

Plus Pearl can FING beat KU.

Do you really think Currie will hire Pearl? The dude ran off Frank Martin, who save his vocab was by all accounts a very respectable man. Pearl seems like he is drunk, who happens to know a little about basketball. If I were you guys I would fire Currie instantly, but I'm sure your tucks won't allow that. Shame really, had real admiration for Frank.

any money that we would have left after the Pearl hire, we should have flashed at Frank. I still think for the next few years our best shot was kick Currie to the curb,  keep Frank happy, and roll 'cats.

one way i could be happier, considering Pearl is hired...

He's going to be tossing some sort of snack food (peanuts, popcorn?) up in the air and then catching it in his mouth.  Between doing this and checking his facebook on his phone, he'll tell everyone about oscar pearl coming here and bringing grcoat2.0 with him.  Laughing about how frank thought we'd give him more money than his already overpaid ass was making.  Then he'll show a video of unseen footage from his BTF walkthrough with all sorts of elite oscar Pearl references.

Alright, so assuming Currie makes a comparable hire or better,  does anyone see ANY chance, ANY at all, of Currie's name being plastered with the new practice facility - ie the John "Dipshit" Currie Complex at FBC?? This is assuming he sticks with it. I'm worried about this. thoughts?

Remember in that youtube video when he kept saying "Frank Martin's office"? How sad.

I would honestly rather not have a MBB program than hire a guy like jankovich.

This thread needs a lot more attention.

I'm really worried that people aren't going to shift their hate from Frank to Currie. Be vigilant, emaws.

Even Tucks hate this hire.  Fire Currie.  Today.  I would rather have Deb Patterson coach the men's team than oscar Weber.

Can we retro-fire Currie? Like make it active 20 days ago?
