Under 10 points total. Shot his wad against OU yesterday.

Honestly, not really concerned about Page. We handled him fine last time and I think we learned our "don't leave the driveway shooter open" lesson from Chistopherson last Saturday. I think we'll play solid defense tonight.
I'm more concerned that we may continue to press and not shoot at a reasonable clip. Let's face it, if Denis and Jake don't hit shots, we're not going to win tonight or next week. We need at least one of those guys to be on, and the other to at least be reasonable. If those two can combine to hit around 12/28 overall, 5/13 from 3, and 13/15 on FTs we'll win the game. Then get Kelly or JamSam to have a solid game, some contributions from Sutton, and McGruder/Wally to get some minutes and provide a spark, something like 10 points combined and some rebounds would be fine.
But again, I'm much more worried we'll have some 40% overall, 25% from 3 shooting game than letting someone from OSU other than Anderson go off.

Page went 1-8 last time. He got his looks, just didn't hit them. He only shot 2 more times against OU. I agree on Denis and Jake needing to hit shots, Pullen just can't shoot f'ing 16% from 3 this time, but Denis was good last time (40% from 3, 19ponts). Jamar didn't show up and we got beat on the glass. OSU is going to score on their early posessions, imo, so we need our bigs to make shots early and/or get Moses and Pilgrim some fouls cause we're going to try to throw it down low to start the game. Luis can't play the 20 minutes he played last time if we want any shot of winning. And like you said, I wouldn't mind it if the good Sutton showed up.

OSU isn't deep and play its second day in a row. Hopefully, they lose their legs -- the sooner the better.

Good points, he did have some open looks, but OU played no defense so he could get comfortable last night. I don't think he ever did against us. Of course Anderson and Munelo did get comfortable and made big shots against us.
And agree completely on bigs, Jam Sam needs to come out of his offensive funk and anything more than 8-10 minutes for Lou is way too many. He's going to play, we can't change that, but just keep his minutes under 10 and I can live with it.

They kind of showed us up on the boards last time -- were more physical than expected and were able to maintain that throughout the game. Fully expect that to reverse this time now that our guys have experienced it. Not overly worried unless they come out and shoot 50 percent or something ridiculous.

Their profile is that they are not a good offensive rebounding team, but they had one of their best offensive rebounding games of the year against us. (38.6% to our 36.3% in OR%) Their profile is that they are average at getting to the FT line, but had one of their best FT rate games (65.3% to our 55.9%) against us. Then they shot eFG% of 52% (to our 42%). The only thing we did relatively well is forced some TOs (27%, their average is 18.4%), but we've done that to a lot of people and it was their first game without their PG.
If we do those things again, especially getting beat on the Oboards and getting to the FT line, its probably indicative that we're "still not trying" and it will be a major concern going into the torn-a-ment. If we just have a bad shooting game compared to theirs, then perhaps a bit less concern. They are a talented team, but not a very deep team and not a team as "complete" as we are; if we come to play and force the issue like we do when we play well, this is a game we should win. Its a great game IMO to prep us for the type of team we'll see in the round of 32 game, so I hope we come out and play well.

I'm trying to remember the stat, but OSU is something like 35-1 under Ford when they shoot a higher FG% than the other team.
-
Kid is a turd with a $2 dollar haircut. Looks like he'd be more comfortable playing in overalls.
Don't care how many shots he takes as long as Anderson and Obi have a hand in their face all night and we dominate they boards.
-
Page will only have 5, with one banked in 3 to tie it late in 2nd half. Anderson will go off for 37 though..
-
osu will get open looks. the way they play, so spread out, that's almost inevitable.
kstate just has to do what they do. kstate is better at being kstate than osu is at being osu.

If you see a guy convulsing in section 227, it's me. Prolly 50-50 chance I black out and void myself at the first sight of Page....what a revolting pig-human. :chainsaw:
