KU offensive coordinator faces lawsuit in California

By J. BRADY McCOLLOUGH
The Kansas City Star

Kansas offensive coordinator Chuck Long, a former head coach at San Diego State, has been sued by Nick Sandford, a former player. Sandford accuses Long of covering up an alleged assault by a teammate in November 2008 that left Sandford with injuries, according to a civil lawsuit filed this week in San Diego Superior Court.

The suit alleges that former San Diego State offensive lineman Lance Louis, now with the Chicago Bears, assaulted Sandford, a safety, in a team meeting room. The attack left Sandford with a concussion, a ruptured eardrum and facial injuries. Sandford is asking for unspecified damages from Long, Louis and the California State University system.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Louis faces a misdemeanor assault charge related to the incident.

Sandford’s suit alleges that Long instructed San Diego State staff members “not to report the attack to law enforcement or university officials.” The incident happened on Nov. 5 and was not reported to campus police until Nov. 20.

Sandford’s suit alleges that Long thought San Diego State “had a better chance to be successful if defendant Louis was allowed to play, thus motivating defendant Long to cover up the attack.”

Long refused comment on the lawsuit through Kansas officials on Wednesday.

Clipart Hall has an assault room, yes.  It is tailored for player on co-ed assault but could be modified I guess.

I love the menacing types Snyder has aligned himself with over the years.  With guys like Mangino, Leavitt, Long and Mike Stoops (it's only a matter of time) on your side, your team is guaranteed to have success if it has any shred of self preservation instinct.

Gil = Pray 'em up!
Bill = Beat 'em up!

Bill wins.  Every time.  :excited:

Remember . . . Gil's actually worked for a man who kept a potential murder weapon in his office desk.   For "safe keeping".

Hmmm... "pray 'em up" a clever 'guise?   :bait:

Not a room for assaults.  Just one to cover them up in.
