Haven't seen this discussed yet, but maybe I just missed it.
After the first 2 game losing streak...is it time to cut the beard?
-
Take that bracket and run.

You haven't seen it discussed here because even the dumb posters are smart enough to understand that one man's facial hair doesn't win or lose basketball games. Take that stupid crap to the Wabash.

:surprised:
makeitrain really coming into his own.

The poster intimidation is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

Clearly you don't know basketball. Any player worth his salt knows a beard makes a player's face less aerodynamic and thus throws off his ability and the ability of his teammates to effectively compete in the month of march... it's science jackass.
Besides, until you start ponying up the monthly fee for gpc, you can bring it :comehere:

Winner by TKO ---- makeitrain

If we don't go the finals in the Big XII tournament, then it is time to shave
-
Whether or not it should be shaved is probably somehow related to whether or not the Lynch Mob will be back this year.

This is a very important topic. Quit the intimidation.
Whether or not he shaves the beard is mostly irrelevant at this time. It served it's purpose back in December as a marketing tool. It has grown stale so it should probably go, but it isn't causing any harm to our image.
The Beard led to early season recognition and combined with the wins in December put us onto the national radar. Then there was a lull and losses to Mizzou and OK St. followed by the emergence of the "Octagon of Doom" which catapulted us into the national spotlight and a top 5 ranking.
Now we're in another lull. We need something new. Maybe something like that Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) cripple that KU used as a mascot back in 1988. Hopefully something will emerge this week so we can be back in the spotlight heading into the NCAAs. Future recruits will be watching. We need to stay fresh and new.

I think it's time for him to go double-beard, and shave his head to match the contours of his beard. Would be amazing imo.
