I say yes.
Two top 5 teams, the winner likely gets the conference title, Kansas is on the border of Missouri, everyone from KU thinks that they participated in the civil war, Thomas Roberson's grandparents and mom died of drugs and Mizzou fans were allegedly going to mock it but never did, the best two players from the greater Kansas City area play for mizzou, AND the last game of a rivalry. It's HUGE.
It would have been better if Mizzou wasn't already guaranteed a 2-3 advantage in the sports that the United States of America and all Missourians and Kansans care about, and get to say "scoreboard" to KU fans for the rest of their lives. BUT, this is still a big, big, big game.
Do you guys agree that this is the biggest regular season game in the history of our conference? I can't think of one bigger.
-
it's pretty big, that's for sure. the loser is going to feel like dogshit for the rest of their lives.
-
Oh yeah, its big . . . real big.
-
In a month after KU has exited the torn-a-ment in the second round and some team beats the crap out of mizzou in the sweet 16 it will rightly be viewed as much ado about nothing.
-
I certainly cannot think of a bigger one. This is big folks is what i'm saying.
-
also meant to say that i'll let you all know if i CAN think of a bigger game. unlikely though.
-
Seriously, I cannot think of a bigger game ever played in the regular season in this conference.
-
I will pour a dollop of revhoney on the floor of The Scheme for whichever team loses this most critical of games.
-
The battle for 4th is way more interesting. :bball:
-
Generations will be defined by the outcome of this game, probably the most important battle between the two states since the civil war.

It was, and I'm glad you mentioned it. However, it was NOT a regular season game played at a home site.

The Body Count from the riots after the game in Lawrence alone will exceed half a million.
-
this is big locally but I am not sure where the nation is on this one, will be interesting to see if it will be the highest rated regular season conference game of all time
-
So big that the KC Star broke out JoePa to write a guest column.
