Title: Living in your parents' basement
Post by: K-S-U-Wildcats! on February 24, 2012, 09:59:58 AM
way up under Obama. But, seeing as how this demographic overwhelmingly voted for O in 2008, fitting?

It's not Obama's fault that there are more lazy deadbeats in the country than there used to be. I'm actually pretty surprised that there is that big of a difference between men and women.

They are probably all neckbeards. That explains the gap between men and women. Blame television for making the neckbeard lifestyle seem cool, I say.

You don't think sky high unemployment among young people has anything to do with it?

Obama would probably agree that its not his fault, though, and I bet he and Michelle are pretty disappointed that these young people aren't challenging themselves.

yes Obama is personally responsible for the worst economic period since the great sepression.

he alone got us into this mess and has forced older workers to lose parts of their retirements and savings.

as a result older workers have had to take the jobs/shifts that younger workers used to take.

it is all part of the plan i voted for.  First i hoped for it, now it has changed.

(it always pissed me off when young tellers couldn't count change correctly, now the 45 year old former CPA that works at the local conveniece store always gets it right)

That's not actual unemployment, and you know it. You don't count as unemployed if you stop looking for work, take a part-time job, go back for that second graduate degree, etc. This is when you move back in with your parents.

OK. Explain why almost twice as many men live with their parents as women when unemployment rates for men and women are usually similar. Explain why unemployment fell from 1985 to 1990, yet more men and women lived with their parents in 1990 than in 1985. Unemployment nearly doubled from 1990 to 1992. What effect did that have on people living with their parents?

You don't think sky high unemployment among young people has anything to do with it?

Obama would probably agree that its not his fault, though, and I bet he and Michelle are pretty disappointed that these young people aren't challenging themselves.

Blue is men. Green is women. There really isn't much correlation between this graph and your graph.

That's easy. Men move in with their parents. Women move in with their boyfriends. Duh.
