TITLETOWN - A Decade Long Celebration Of The Greatest Achievement In College Athletics History => Kansas State Basketball is hard => Topic started by: chum1 on March 09, 2010, 02:18:21 PM

Love the recurring theme of overachievement and references to last year's success (which really wasn't that much of a success).
I think UCR basketball is still moving ahead. I still believe our program is better. If you look at the standings, you put two more wins -- virtually a minute's worth of basketball, free throw here, a defensive possession there -- you could win two more games and you're in the middle of the pack again.
At UCR, one of the things in the building of the program, the stage we're in, :blah:
This is going to be a big year for us ... we're close. There are improvements that have been made and there's a future that if we keep working at it, can be better for UCR basketball.

Still one of the best!

The fact that home court got away from us as opposed to a year ago when were 11-2, we didn't protect our home floor. ...How did that happen? We just didn't get it done. ... One of the things that sticks out about this team is the fact we never developed a second-line scorer. We didn't shoot the ball with a lot of confidence. We just didn't have enough shot-making to balance our team out.
What kind of kid fits best into UCR? What kind of kid fits best into this program? We're always looking for kids who want to be overachievers or have some record of success. ... This is going to be a big year for us ... we're close.

Poor guy, he doesn't even have the excuse of the AD actively trying to kill his recruiting like the King SLTH does.

It's just so painful to read. It makes me feel like I just woke up from a dream and wools is actually still here... :barf:

This. It's like eating a peanut buster parfait. Reminds me of being a kid. A bitter, disgusting, false hope filled peanut buster parfait.

Do you think Wooly is insanely pissed about all the Frank love across the nation, and K-State's quick return to relevancy?
I'd like to think he is.
-
Remember when Wooly said that the triangle would work "magnificently" with Beasley, Walker, and Clent?

If so F him for wearing his dam blue.

Yes. From the bits and pieces I remember he was talking about how much he loved Manhattan and KSU people. He was probably just saying that so I would go away though.
