Title: So what happens if . . .
Post by: sonofdaxjones on February 19, 2012, 08:58:57 AM
Doc snaps out of it?

Last 4 games, 9 for 36 from the field . . . 4 for 21 from behind the arc.

Shane Southwell . . . 1 minute yesterday.

Tay Irving, 10 minutes total time in the last 3 games.

Could one say that Frank has completely lost confidence in Irving and Southwell, or is it just Frank being Frank?

I think Shane has lost confidence in Shane.

someone indicated that Tay has an ankle injury.  go look at doc's numbers for the entire conference.  they just awful. 27% FG, 28% 3pt.

I think he played the starting 3 guards almost the entire game because he knew we needed guys that were capable of shooting against  the Baylor zone.   This said, Sprads hasnt shot well for quite some time, but Frank stil has faith enough to play and him and believe he can hit shots.

IMO, Shane isnt effective vs zone Def unless he is playing the 4 spot.    He is not effective spending most of the possession outside te 3 pt line.

I almost hope that the reason Tay is not playing a lot is because of an ankle injury.     Much like JO getting back into the swing of things and giving us very good minutes.......... we need to get minutes from Tay to be a consistently good team.      I still have lots of confidence in Tay.   I dont have much confidence in Shane right now

iirc, Shane was one of the reasons we did so well against Baylor's zone the first go round.
