Will pass Tex soon
There were 10 teams when Tex coached? Welp, more you know.
-
Rip any mention of those old racists off campus and build frank a statue.
-
It's really insane. We have top 10 ROAD victories in consecutive seasons. I mean I don't even.

Fire Frank
-
I was just thinking about his top 10 victories. I mean, of course its a lot for us, but has to be a pretty decent amount for damn near any program, no?
-
How many top 10 wins does he have now?
KU was #2 in 08, #1 in 2011
UT was #1 in 2010, #7 in 2011
Baylor was #10 this year, Mizzou was #7 this year
Am i missing any? Texas was #11 in one poll in 2009 when Denis dropped 44 on them

According to the media guide, Texas A&M was #10 in 2008, and we beat them by 21 points.

When talking to a tuck Saturday morning I was told that we needed to fire Frank and promote Undy. Cause he is responsible for the offense and stuff.
I mean what do you even say to this?

Tell him to send more money to Currie with a note on it that says "here's to promoting Undy".
Currie laughs and throws away the note, puts the proceeds toward the stadium expansion.

All the Frank haters look Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) today. This is where our program is. In a down year (I really think the next 2 years are going to be better than this one) we beat top 10 teams and are a solid tourney team and play (arguably) the best D in the conference.
Wooly never made the NIT. Never hurts to remind ourselves of that.

Yea, its frustrating to lose some that we have but I try to center myself on Wooly memories to even me out
-
Frank has given frustrating losses like OU, CU, ISU, OSU in Manhattan over the years, but the high points and big wins far outweigh those. Every year.
-
With Frank, we don't rebuild; we reload. strutting emoticon

Big game frank

I actually remember thinking during the Wooly years, "we're gonna be better this year, like I think we can make the NIT." Holy crap, I just wanted to be NIT good back then, unreal how much better we are now.

Will pass Tex soon
and much like those guys, he will leave us the first chance he gets.
-
This may be the sunshine pumper coming out in me, but I truely believe we are getting very close to the point where Martin begins landing some of these elite mentions we've been recieving in recent years. It feels like in the first few years Frank's national perception was one of someone who was horrible to play under and an angry hothead. I get the impression that while there's still a good chunck of the country who see him that way the majority perception is shifting to one of him as a passionate coach who if you give him everything you've got and work hard he'll get the best out of you. While this won't appeal to alot of the one and dones and players who think they're too good to need coaching, there's still plenty of quality players out there who feel like someone pushing them like that will get them better and I think more and more of those players are going to start looking at KSU as a place they want to play.
Again, I may just have drank too much purple kool-aid after yesterdays win, but I really, really hope I'm right.

He was missing Texas A&M in 2008. That was before the most recent MU game. So, yeah, add another one to the list too.

That was a very underrated game from an entertainment standpoint. Never stressful from tip to buzzer, watching Turgeon sulk and fume on his bench....it was great.

Beating them by 23 in the OOD 2 years later was also loads of fun.

Didn't the same article say that no other team in the past 5 years has beat two top 10 teams on the road in the same season?

:sdeek:
-
I hated/hate Turg more than Drew.
True story
-
I dislike Turg because of his ku ties and the fact that he's a huge whiner.
I hate Drew.
-
I dislike Turg because of his KU ties and the constant knob slobbering he got from all the WSU fans a few years ago. JFC, that crap was annoying.
-
Mark Turgeon, you disgust me.
-
Turg has just mediocre'd his way up the ladder

I forget which year it was, but I loved it when he realized how many calls KU gets, even on the road. It was like a kid finding out Santa Claus wasn't real.
