Holding KU to .95 PPP was a great defensive effort. 43.4% shooting for the game is great as well. Only in Ames did they have a worse offensive efficiency, and this was there worst shooting game in Big 12 play. We are a really good defensive team, outside a few halves in Big 12 play.
That said, when you shoot below 25% and have a TO% above 25% for a half it makes it very tough to win. We were fortunate it was only a 10 point game after that kind of half. But still, we managed a very efficient 2nd half (1.11 PPP against KU is excellent), it just wasn't enough to overcome the first half woeful offense.

On offense we were only good for the 8:15 stretch to start the 2nd half................
13 poss
19 points (1.46 ppp)
6 off boards
1 turnover
7-16 FG (2-4 from 3)
The rest of the game ..........
48 poss
34 points (.71 ppp)
10 turnovers
13-49 FG (2-14 from 3)
34 points in 31:45. Just over 1 pt per minute (80 percent of the game)

But during that opening span of the 2nd half........... we did a poor job of getting back playing transistion defense
Ku had 3 fast break baskets (2 dunk 1 layup) off of 3 missed Ksu shots.
They were 1-11 with 3 turnovers other than that to start the 2nd half...........until the Taylor pushoff/ 3pt make with 11:18 left
