Title: Tonight marks our first ever Bball game @Nebraska
Post by: MichiganisGood on February 08, 2012, 05:44:58 PM
And our first meeting since they joined the conference..  :excited:

What can we expect from Nebraksetball ?? Bo Spencer is kinda good right ?? How's their home court advantage ?? Their coach seems to get a lot of credit for being a good coach despite his team always sucking pretty hard, what kind of style do they play ?? TIA !!  :lynchmob:  :emawkid:

It's actually something were supposed to be good at but Hardaway is in a major slump the last 4 games and nobody else was hitting either..

Against a team with a pulse we get blown out tonight, instead we won by 20 or some crap..

We rarely ever win when our 3 point shooters aren't hitting, Nebraska is just god awful.

You just wait until he gets the right players in there.

I'm afraid your win last night may be the final push to get Doc fired.

michiganisgood, you guys should have rolled over for Doc's sake.  We lost to him multiple times on purpose to save his job.  You should do the same.

Yes.

Doc needs some help, because when you do things "the right way" and your AD publically says that he wants summer recruiting (and AAU basketball) banned by the NCAA it makes it a bit tougher on you.

It was long done, NU has been horrawful all season.  The only thing that would have saved Doc would have been the NCAA tournament & I'm not sure that would have either.  UNL still owes $15 million cash for that arena.  They need to find a coach that will energize some of their football fans to fork over the money.

Doc...  Just sad... just sad. (http://huskerextra.com/sports/mens-basketball/article_cb125755-0999-5757-8670-653006d5475a.html)

Quote
"Every player in that locker room's disappointed. I'm disappointed," Sadler said. "I hope every fan that wasn't here was disappointed. But I can promise you this: I wasn't disappointed in my players' effort. It's not their fault. They're giving me everything they got."

Will doing things the "right way" be enough? (http://huskerextra.com/sports/basketball/article_dcf53a33-56aa-5164-ada7-ddf2b51c6715.html)

Osborne, in assessing Sadler this season, will weigh the impact of injuries (major factor). Tom will consider how the players are treated on a daily basis. He'll obviously consider the scholastic part. He'll take into account that Doc evidently runs a clean program.

I absolutely love how dirty college BB is.  Someone actually has to take a clean program into account when deciding if they should fire their coach.  I wonder which column(pro/con) Dr Tom puts this in when doing his Doc checklist?

Our coach is the head of the NCAA ethics committee in college basketball recruiting, like literally..

We have a huge talent pool in Detroit that our coach pretty much can't recruit because he refuses to get his hands even close to dirty, were not awesome or anything but were respectable..

Doc needs to follow our strategy, recruit a bunch of white kids and then go After some  :eye: that are former NBA players kids..

Jordan Dumars, Tim Hardaway Jr, John Horford, and Glenn Robinson III will make up 90% of our black players next season.

Not being dirty is no excuse for sucking as badly as Nebraska does..

Only way Nebraska fires Sadler is if the big 10 tells them that they need to at least try at basketball.

MIG, do you have anyone on your team who can guard Maric?

I'm guessing the answer is "no".

:dubious: It's obviously a negative when you're being evaluated by Dr. "If you ain't assaultin' your girlfriend, you ain't tryin" Tom.
