An artist did a big collections of (I assume) every team, there were 3 total for ksu, the other two were shiny grey (not quite silver).  The ku one had a massive jayhawk on it similar to the boise state helmet, and was probably the first time I wasn't revolted by that logo.  Wish I remembered the link...

I would be super down with pro combats if they A) were actually different enough to be interesting, and 2) don't feature a weirdo purple. :dunno:

I think the corn kernel pattern Nubb helmet would be great to LOL at.  Thought the Texas helmets showing the horns kind of like the current Rams helmets was awesome--would get the Horns out of the 1960's.

I didn't think K-State was a Schutte shop.

We may not have uniform designs newer than 20 years old but we've got a lot of intrinsic values :emawkid:

As someone whose done a little work in the area of branding for the past 25+ years I'll chime in once more. :)

Branding is much more than a logo or uni. LHC Bill Snyder has created a brand that someone like Currie couldn't ever dream of creating. No offense to Currie, but he (nor any other AD) could never have created the kind of brand Snyder has. Steve Miller didn't do it and neither did Jon Wefald. It was LHC Bill Snyder. Not just because he created a logo that looks cool on a helmet but because he changed the atmosphere and attitude of K-State football.

From a graphic design perspective, while a helmet like this one gets everyone all worked up and excited, it would look terrible on TV. Just horrible. The Powercat would be lost. White with a purple Powercat might be cool or even purple with silver or white Powercat . But this one won't fly.

I'm not against change but I'd hate to see us get all goofy like some schools have done. Who knows, we could all be surprised next fall! :)

We need to get the mirrored helmets like Oregon had in their bowl game with a flat black or flat purple powercat on the side.  Done and done.

Love how tards think LHC Bill Snyder is the sole creator of the powercat.   If that jack ass really was a graphic designer, he would know that Bill was only a client and very rarely does the client know what the eff they want or they're asking for, let alone design something.  If Bill had any input on it at all, it was probably: "The purple looks a little too pansy-ish.... can you make it darker?"  2nd of all, if your branding hasn't solidified your identity within 30 years, it likely won't ever.

National brand. We've created an image. We should never change these uniforms, because they're as classic and nationally recognizable as the uniforms/logos of Michigan or Notre Dame or Penn State or Miami or Texas.
