Oh man, that article left out the main reason Germany is a manufacturing and exporting giant and the reason they can have all of the social programs. Something the liberals will never, ever agree to implement in this country.
-
6 weeks of vacation???

Would take.
-
6 weeks of vacation???
15% corporate tax rate and no additional tax on exported manufactured goods. They actually export more than the US.
Average Germans also live like paupers because they pay 50% in income taxes and pay a 19% VAT on most everything they buy, and obviously this includes deodorant which must be a luxury item there.

Not to mention that their energy costs are through the roof, like everywhere else in Europe.

Yes I did, and obviously my idea of a high standard of living is different than yours and the author's.

Sleeping in an old Volkswagen camper and spending $3000 on gas and food. AHHHH, the good life!
-
dougie is absolutely killing it in this thread. All you haters are just being misled by the MSM socialist media.

The liberal infatuation with Western Europe is pretty hilarious. Willfully ignoring all the pit falls of the system they adore, pretty typical behavior. Avoid reality at all cost!!!
Completely unsurprised that the model they've chosen for this thread is an entirely white country with a declining population. Sounds like a liberal utopia (except for the living with your parents until you're 30, can't afford a car or house, don't have enough discretionary income to drink $5 americanos for breakfast part, but man those public services :emawkid:).

never said i aspired to have a similar system. just said it obviously doesn't work.
