Title: Pandora Alternatives
Post by: Stupid Fitz on January 19, 2012, 12:01:45 PM
Pandora has been pissing me off lately.  My "Today's Alternative" station keeps playing 90's alternative and even just rocked some 80's Beastie Boys and my other alternative station wants me to kill myself today while listening to EMO.  Seems they just try and mess with you some days.  Any good alternatives?

you thumbs up'd some song that eff you over.  you are going to have to start from scratch.  THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING before giving something the thumbs up/down.

I know.  They should put dates of some sort in their algorithm.  I mean, I love the Beastie's, but I don't know why they would play on my "Today's Alt" station.

Just got a slacker account.  Seems to have decent stations, but also seems to have more ads though.  :dunno:

I thumbs down the crap out of things.  Hit my allowed max always.

Man, I used to be my own worst enemy though.  Get to having a good day and feeling good, next thing you know you have thumbsed up all kinds of crap and ended up with a no songs barred station.

slightly OT here: Putting tv show episodes on your ipod, and then when you hit the treadmill at the elite gym you belong to, you can plug the ipod into the screen, and play the 22 minute episode while your ipod charges. it's rough ridin' fantastic.

This seems more than slightly off topic IMO.

Decided to say shazbot! them all and just add the XM online for a few bucks a month.  I like the stations better and it streams to my Sonos too.  :pbj:

I think this was supposed to go in the bluetooth headphones / treadmill thread.... w/e
