18 missed Free Throws.

But the Frankite Carryover TP from last year is . . . missed Free Throws don't matter.

Actually I said this is one glaring example where FT% did matter, more than any game I've ever seen. But getting the the FT line still mattered more. No excuse for shooting worse than 60% though, especially the misses in the last couple of minutes, It was crazy to have 5 misses in a row from 3 guys that all shoot 76% or better from the FT line.

I think this best sums up our season right here.  Team is full of FP's that shrink up under pressure

If I understand correctly, the main reason FTR matters so much more than FT% is that FTR is much more likely to vary significantly. FT% will more often than not be in the 60's-80's, while FTR can swing far more. Example being our 130% vs. Texas' 20% in the second half. _Fan?

Yes, and if look throughout statistics of all time, the amount of time a team gets to the free throw line has been a far better indicator of who wins and loses than free throw percentages is. I will repeat, no one in the FT rate camp says percentage is meaningless, and last night's game shows that. You simply can't shoot below 60%, espeically when your opponent shoots 90%. But a game like last night is a statistical outlier in the grand scheme of things. Our teams ability to get to the line often is more important to watch for game in and game out.

No one would even think about disputing the importance of getting to the line, and yes, last year, and probably this year (I haven't paid THAT close attention) we seem/seemed to hit the FT's at crunch time more often then not.

However, I will shake my fist at you if you attempt to tell me that hitting FT's early in the game, particularly in "building a lead" scenarios can/cannot influence how the rest of the game goes.   You go to the line . . .. say with a chance to build a lead to double digits (keeping in mind Big 12 officials ability to call games totally one way for certain segments/and then completely flip-flop and call it completely different during another segment), that potentially influences how the other team will play (toss in a home crowd factor . . . oh wait, our home crowd this year is a complete non factor) However, with that said, given this teams maddening ability to pi$$ away leads, maybe that doesn't matter either.

If anyone introduces me to this BigWillie fellar while he is in the midst of his crap ass "my personal life sucks so I'm taking it out on the cats" I will punch him straight in his fat face.

You disagree that this team doesn't play like a bunch of FP's?   ...not Rodney of course

I disagree that you have to bring your pessimistic view of the cats in every thread. If you are being serious, lord help ya. If it's all a joke, carry on.
