TITLETOWN - A Decade Long Celebration Of The Greatest Achievement In College Athletics History => Kansas State Basketball is hard => Topic started by: pissclams on January 15, 2012, 10:45:43 AM

It's only mid-January, this team will come together and be really good when it counts. Why worry?
Yes, dickheads, I'm going to run this bullshit into the ground.
-
This feels like either the iowa st. or Oklahoma St. lost back in 09. not worried at all.
-
The officiating today was criminal. Always is at that dump but you could tell when we got ahead they were not going to allow us to walk out of there with a win. We never had a chance in that game. It is really hurting college basketball. I mean some of that stuff that was going on was just flat out officials being intimidated and looking at the jerseys or they were on the take. No other explanation.
All Big 12 games are fixed for Kansas, doesn't matter where they're playing.
We may be top four in the league right now. Even with the two losses
KU gets 10 points worth of calls in any Big 12 game that is close. Always has been the case. Have to beat them and the refs, every time. It's why they underachieve in the tournament so often.
KU did NOT have more talent than we did - that's encouraging.

Cyclonefanatic is so KSUfans/goEMAW of 2 years ago. So much anger. Isn't it great being spoiled? Its very elite.
-
i can't even acknowledge Cyclone fan's existence right now, i just can't. i look in the mirror and i see a pale skinned ginger staring back. go clones. argh.

K-State has dug a hole before and the schedule lines up for us to have a chance to dig out of it prior to our next KU/MU/Baylor stretch. If we can develop into a better road team, which I think fits to Frank's strengths, we'll be fine.
Anything worse than 5-2 in our next stretch would shock me and I expect 6-1 or 7-0
-
I expect 6-1 or 7-0
Don't do that to yourself, its gonna hurt
-
But it matters right now, in mid-January. I want a Big 12 title dammit.

this
Cliche but it fits Frank
You can't win a title/champ/BCS/division in the early part of the season, but you sure can lose one.
-
Everyone keep in mind we get an extra day in February this year. :ksu:
-
What if we lose at home to Texas... :ohno:
As far as winning a Big 12 title? It's next year or bust.
-
Big 12 title this year was unrealistic. Finishing ahead of KU may of been possible and may still be, but they'll have to start losing at home

Every single person I know that's a fan of a big xii team, not named ku, has something to the tune of the above to me. It's hard to watch their games and disagree. It's hard to ignore the consensus opinion. I think the same feeling exists with UT football.
Ironically, virtually every ku fan I know has said something similar about Duke basketball.

KU is going to lose 2-3 of their next 4, probably 4-5 of their next 9. I think 12-4 will win the conf. I don't think we go 11-1 the rest of the way.
The only team that's really good is Baylor. The only teams that are really bad are OSU and TTech. OU and aTm are pretty bad, but have the talent to be pretty good. K-State should be in the pretty good to good convo the rest of the way.

About any other year, but this year with Mizzou and Baylor, there's a chance to do one without the other.
-
KU is going to lose 2-3 of their next 4
that would be very surprising.
baylor is probably a little better than i thought before the start of the conference. but ku is better.

It's become quite apparent that you're a closet squawk.
BU
@UT
aTm
@ISU
are their next 4. BU is not only better than KU, but also an awful matchup for KU. @MU gets them this year. Has massa ever won @UT??? I think ISU is going to win a lot of games at Hilton this season, lots of 3pt'ers, should have won Saturday.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, KU isn't very good this year.

you can say it all you want, it doesn't make it true. you must have been more impressed with bu than i was. if kstate had turned it over 15 times instead of 20, they'd have beat bu by double digits. i expect ku to lose some road games, but bu is going to lose their share too.
there are 18 conf games, fyi.

it's true, ku isn't very good this year. good, yes; very good, no

I know, and I was fully prepared for that...but then we started looking pretty good, and the Big 12 looked so bad, well...I fell for it. :frown:
